Results on Hold

Well, Im pretty sure I didnt pass nclex-pn because this is the pop I got. All of my classmates have passed on the first try and they got the good pop up. Has anyone ever passed and gotten this pop-up?

Also, can anyone tell me what I can do now? When do I find out for certain my pass/fail? How long do I have to wait?

I never got that pop up but I have heard it can happen for a few reasons like if you finished very fast or like something stupid like forgetting to raise your hand before leaving the exam. I know I have heard of others but I can't think of them right now. Think positive. I would think they wouldn't waste their time going over the recording of your exam or whatever if you failed. It's probably more likely that you passed and they just want to make sure that it was completely legitimate. Try not to stress. The hold will hopefully be released soon and the results will be available. :)

It sometimes happens if you try too soon after your test.

You just have to wait for the hold to lift. I wouldn't think it would take too long. Just keeping checking the site. If you are able to use quick results wait for the hold to be over and when the 2 days have passed ( if the hold is gone) you will be able to pay and see your

results.

I cannot think of 1 reason why this would happen to me. I hardly used my whiteboard. I never raised my hand to leave. I took quite a while to get to 85 questions and I didnt even try to do the pearsonvue trick until 3 hours after I left.

I just tried it again and its still on hold. Tommorow night noone will be able to try and register , the site is doing maintenance.

Well my facility we HAD to raise our hands to leave and I have heard of one person that results were on hold because they got up without raising there hand.

You might have to wait until Monday to actually see if results are off hold and if you can get quick results since it will be the weekend now.

I never raised my hand because I never left the computer. There was an option to stay or take break and I decided to stay.

I never took a break either but we had to raise our hand when we were all done with the exam to leave the center.

Ditto that Gb, Im sure its nothing that I did. There must be some other problem with the system. The waiting is very hard when you dont feel confidant about passing.

There are a variety of reasons your test results can be on hold, some more serious than others. Less serious: computer glitches (power issues, frozen screens, calculator not working, etc.), failure to raise your hand before getting up, finishing quickly, spending too much time on questions (trying to ride out the time). More serious: brain dumping (writing on your white board before the tutorial is over--anything at all even a smiley face will result in a report being submitted by the testing center), using your cellphone for ANY reason (looking at call history, texting, checking voice mail) during your test or breaks, bringing in test materials (such as review guides or notes) into the testing center even if locked in your locker. And then there is the random test audit--as a matter of quality control/assurance random tests are placed on hold and the results, keystrokes and video/audio from the test are reviewed by the QA/QC personnel of PearsonVue. this usually just results in a bit of a wait while the audit is completed assuming you did nothing wrong.

From NCSBN "Violations of the NCLEX Candidate Rules or not following the instructions of the Test Administrator (TA), may result in your examination result being withheld and/or cancelled, your examination fee will not be refunded and the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) and your licensing board may take other action, up to and including license revocation and criminal prosecution." https://www.ncsbn.org/1268.htm

Good luck. Hopefully it's a benign reason and your results will be released quickly. Hurry up and wait is a very difficult task.
