In regards to NCLEX study book while in RN school

Nursing Students NCLEX

What I am curious of is finding a good NCLEX book that is split in very distinct sections, that I can use as practice questions for the appropriate course/section of that course. I am doing well but thought this might be of extra help and wanted to know your guys suggestions before making a purchase.

Worry about nursing school while in nursing school, in my opinion! Lord knows there's enough content in those textbooks. For my NCLEX prep, I used Kaplan (was part of my NS tuition and curriculum, so I had no choice) and I grabbed NCLEX Made Incredibly Easy. Kaplan was great for question prep and the other was a good content review.

I would focus more on the questions that are located in the back of the books that your school uses. This will help with understanding the content for the tests you have to take now and will familiarize you with NCLEX style questions. In addition, use the texts online resources. After every test be sure to complete a review if your school offers it. Those are very helpful. If you still need extra material, go to a barnes and noble and look for one that fits your learning style. I wouldn't waste time with those now.

I use the Saunders NCLEX book. There have been many subjects where I just study from those and not my text books. The review and rationale series are fantastic too!! I've used those as well. That's how I study for all my test, NCLEX practice questions.

I also uses Saunders, I've tried a couple others but that one is my favorite. I don't use it so it with the nclex in mind, but to familiarize myself with the types of questions on our exams. It's really helped my grades in regards to testing.

I used Saunders and also my required Med-Surg Success book to practice NCLEX questions. I know for a fact that when I'm done reviewing my required reading material and I bite the bullet and do a whole bunch of NCLEX questions, I receive a better grade on the exam. If I don't feel like I have enough over the content I find some online. Yes it does help learn the material in the section you are going over but it also helps guide you in how these questions are wanting you to critically think.

The Saunders Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN examination sounds like a good bet or the Reviews and Rationales series.
