PrepU's NCLEX-RN 10,000 vs Delmar's NCLEX-RN Review with CAT Logic vs NCSBN

Hello everyone!

I'm specifically looking at these three NCLEX-RN preparation tools and would like opinions as to which is best.

All are reasonably priced and available online. Specifically, I like PrepU's and Delmar's because they are, like the real board exam, computer adaptive. However, from what I understand, PrepU's tool only allows a maximum of 50 questions per test, whereas Delmar's allows for 75 questions per test, like the real deal.

I like NCSBN because they, after all, create the NCLEX. However, I don't believe their tool is computer adaptive.

Please help! To prevent information overload and overwhelm, I only want to use one tool. Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions?

NCLEX 3500/4000 are exactly the same thing as NCLEX 10,000 only have fewer questions, but are free.

The NCSBN questions are most like the questions you will see on the actual NCLEX at least wording wise. I can't speak for the content.

Thanks so much for replying, ScottE,RN! I already have NCLEX 4000, and it certainly would be nice not to spend any additional money. However, I think NCLEX 10,000 makes use of computerized adaptive testing (CAT), as well as provides content. Do you think it's necessary to prep for the real test with CAT?

Idk the other one but I have PrepU. I like it, i used that with my classmates. i think it me about a month to use all the questions.. at least the ones my class took. i just got better and better with my scores bc i the questsions were repeats.

balance practicing questions and reading content.

What do you mean they are "free"? How can I access them?

NCSBN questions are free? I just went to their website and they charge for the review.

NCLEX 3500 was a program that many were able to access for free;however access was removed from these sites about a month ago. (Undetermined if by the schools wh hosted the access or the publisher--either way NCLEX 3500 sites have been blocked since the beginning of July)

NCSBN is a paid prep service. ScottE meant that NCSBN's learning extension is most like the NCLEX since NCSBN develops and creates the NCLEX exams, not that it is a free review

NCLEX 4000/10000 is a paid prep program.

That would be incorrect. The NCLEX 3500 has been on Salt Lake Community College website for the longest. http://nursing.slcc.edu

The website for NCLEX 3500 was offline for approximately 4-5 weeks so my statement on 7/26 was accurate Apparently the sites are back up again as of 1-2 weeks ago.
