Part 1 (the original thread)--

Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?

Poll to take once you have received your response--

Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results

Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:

1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.

2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.

3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick

~ First: Saunder's Comprehensive Review to go over some content that I needed to brush up on. Very helpful book that has about everything you need to know in it. However, the questions were not that hard.

~ Second: LaCharity Priority book, this book came in really handy for this exam especially since MOST of it was about priority... which patient to see first!

~ Lastly: MOST HELPFUL thing ever!!!!!!!!!!!!! KAPLAN, I did the book you can buy as well as the expensive online tool with the q-bank and questions. This was so priceless when it came to preparing me for the NCLEX, it was worth every penny. The questions were hard, I would like to say for me they were harder than the NCLEX itself!!

Our school used ATI as a supplement during nursing school it was a great tool during school HOWEVER, I would NOT recommend it for studying for the NCLEX. The questions are too easy and would give you a sense of false security in my book. Kaplan was the way to go and I am super grateful that I had the advice to take the class, it was worth it!!!:yeah:

I did the EXACT same thing, and I have to agree that THIS system works. While I did not buy the Kaplan online tool, I can say the book is valuable. My school also used ATI as well and even gave us the three day "prep" course. ATI and the three day prep is not enough to pass the NCLEX, not with the sheer amount of prioritization questions.

ATI was great during school but I feel that our class would have been more prepared if would have used Kaplan during school. The book alone is invaluable, but if there is any doubt in your mind I say buy the online piece of it too. For me it was kind of just a little extra security to pass the first time and with only 75 questions, I really think it worked. I did between 100-150 questions 6 days a week for 2 weeks before my test before that I would review the Saunder's book to gather all of the information I learned in 2 years :) For me this is the system that worked best, I have heard from countless people this was the way to go and it proved to be right!! I am happy I only had 75 questions... but I have to say it is nerve racking, the waiting. The PVT really helped calm my nerves right after the test because you just get the overwhelming feeling "what if?" I honestly believe in the trick and would tell everyone else too as well but as we are in the health care field... it is always nice to cya!

This Cannot be Real. I took the test today, 75 questions and the computer shut down. I prayed it was just "loading". It was really difficult. It took me almost 2 hours to do 75 questions. Im pretty sure i failed. The test started at 8am today and now its 4:29pm. I keep checking and so far I have the good pop up. My results state that they've been successfully delivered and at the bottom in bold red it states my results are not ready for viewing. Ive heard people having the good Pop Up for almost 24 hours then it changes to the CC screen and they FAIL!! Can someone explain this to me.. Has anyone heard of this. What are the odds!?!?! Im not totally going to believe that this works but with some hope i might be able to crawl outta the fetal position and sleep tonight. HELP!!! :crying2:

You passed! Once it says "delivery successful" and you still get the pop-up... you got it!!! Way to go, you did great!! Everyone feels as though they didn't pass but you did so celebrate. I know you will not be satisfied (as I was) until you get the quick results which will be available 48 hours after you tested. But I will say it again, congrats... you did great!!!

I took my test on July 4 and until now my name doesnt show up at BRN website. I did the pearson Vue trick and I got the "good pop up" . This waiting for the official result is driving me nuts!!! im definitely hoping that the Pearson Vue trick works!

:(:(:( this wait is a torture :cry::cry::cry:

Took NCLEX-RN yesterday, shut off at 81 questions, I got 'the good pop up,' but waiting till tomorrow to find out the unofficial results is horrible

Well,

I took the NCLEX on 8 July (Friday) and got the "Test on hold" message until roughly the 12th (Tuesday) at which time it switched to the "good" pop-up. Today (13 July) I called the automated license lookup for my state's BON and found out I did, in fact, pass the boards (though my name is still no where to be found online).

It took me roughly 30 minutes and 75 questions (20 SATA, 9 dosage, 6 priority, rest junk) so I was a little worried. Fortunately, this quickly gave way to annoyance when I ended up spending three times as long sitting in my DMV to return some tags.

On a side note, I accidentally registered for the NCLEX-PN (doing the PVT) and got the CC pop-up (talk about getting a sinking feeling) and before I realized what I had done I went ahead and charged my card. Did you know that once you register you can not get a refund? At least that is what the Pearson folks are telling me...I want my $200.00 back :D.

HI, I live in California too, and took my boards on TUESDAY JULY 12TH...I got the GOOD POP UP, so how long will it take for my name to post on BON? does this trick really work for California?
