NCLEX in 20 days!!! (January 15, 2013)

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I am sooo nervous!... I have done HURST Review and am now doing Kaplan review: so far my diagnostic score was a 61.11% QT1: 60% and QT2: 64% I am still working through reading the Course Book and reviewing the content lesson...

I have been doing 100-150 questions a day whether its on Kaplan or flash card questions. I am afraid that a lot the questions I am doing are too easy and will be easier than what will be on the actually NCLEX...

I feel so discouraged at times because I have a lot depending on me passing the NCLEX, a new job lined up, my parents, boyfriend, etc. :nailbiting:

Is there anything else I can do different? Are my scores okay? Any advice will help!!

Thanks :shy:

Hey guys,

I'm new to allnurses and I just graduated dec 18. I just now got my ATT today thanks to my ever so slow and disorganized school. I scheduled my test for feb 1. I have been studying since the end of dec doing Kaplan provided by the hospital I accepted a position at. I have read the entire book some chapters more than once, went to the live class all last week, And i have done all but 56 of the Qbank questions with an average of 70%. My test scores are:

Diagnostic: 60

Qt 1: 65.3

Qt 2: 62.7

Qt 3: 56.0

Qt 4: 65.3

Qt 5: 66.0

Readiness: 68.3

I'm waiting to do 6 and 7 until closer to my test date. I'm just super nervous and I've heard my scores are good but its hard for me to accept what I think are "low scores." Any advice for further studying or words of encouragement? Thanks!

My Qbank score was 62% overall and I did all of it! My scores ranged from 48%-86% with a 60% on the readiness score.

My advice is do not feel discouraged....There weres times for me as well where I felt as if I wanted to give up, times that I actually sat down and cried and felt that I was going to fail and that I would disappoint sooooo many people....keep pushing!!!...just have confidence in yourself and STAY CALM!!!!! according to Kaplan having a score from 60-65% is great!!...so if you have that score or higher you should feel great!

This is going to be your big day to shine and become that RN that you have dreamed about!!!.....

Baby I took the nclex 9 times im fed up.

Aww. Don't lose hope. You'll pass for sure. I'm taking kaplan right now. I heard its really an effective studying tool. Practice test questions. Around 100/day.

Thank you! I wasn't nervous until I scheduled a date... I really need to pass the first time, like pretty much everyone, because I have a job on the line and we've been on one income for a few months and it would just be a huge relief if I passed the first time!

Congrats maria RN i knew you were going to pass! Must be nice to have it behind you now and just start working no more worrying about NCLEX!

Thank you so much!!! I am so relieved! And just in the nick of time because my hospital called me today and "reminded me" in no uncertain terms that its "getting to the last minute and I have to have the license by next Mondays start date". Luckily the state confirmed today that "while they can't tell me I passed, I will have a license by the end of the week." ;) And the pop up remains good, so I'm feeling better! But I have to say, for me, the exam was a emotional roller coaster ride and I'm glad Kaplan challenged me cause Saunders alone would never have cut it. Thank you everyone so much for your support and if anyone has specific questions or would like any advice I would love to provide it! Dubs2012 and Chicago: we are finally RNs!!! Thank goodness! :) And I will continue to send my best wishes and prayers for all those yet to test.
