KAPLAN $499 Classroom NCLEX-RN review

Hi,

I need some advice. I would love to hear any comments and ideas about how worth is the Kaplan $499 CLASSROOM NCLEX-RN review. the LIVE CLASSROOM. I will be taking my nclex rn this coming mid february and I would like to take it but since it is expensive I wanna hear more about it from those who reviewed on the same classroom review. 2014 experiences will be very helpful.. past and and later years are welcome and thank you. and please tell me the up and downs of it and if worth it or not the 500 usd? thank you very much.

Worth every penny .... And sometimes Kaplan has coupons for about ~50 dollars off .... Follow them on Facebook. Good luck!

I didn't do review courses for my LPN or RN and passed without a problem. We did tons of practice questions in school.

We started to pay each semester 40$ to Kaplan and plus 325 end of school. So it's about same what you paying.

I graduated December 19 and last week we started to take Kaplan in class review. During the review they don't teach you what is heart failure or so. He teaching us test taking strategies and 100 questions each day in class. We do answer questions and he shows the correct answer and how to find out correct answer etc.

I also bought ncsbn for 5 week and you can't even compare it w kaplan.

I would say go for kaplan of you really know your content

I used the Kaplan and it helped me to be more confident in taking the NCLEX but I wished I had followed my gut and taken the test within a week of graduation. I lost almost 2 months which I could have been job hunting and/or working, not to mention was too stressed to enjoy the holidays with my family and spent tons of hours studying when I probably could have passed it right away.

if you have the time and money, it was a great class, especially the testing strategies but you just spent the last 2-4 years learning how to be a nurse, and Kaplan only focuses on the test.

We had a Kaplan live class built into our school's cost. It was a week long class given at our school the week after graduation. It was probably the most boring week of nursing school (just being honest!) but I will say that it really helped to learn and solidify the 'Kaplan' way of taking the NCLEX.

I personally feel that I got more out of doing the Kaplan online stuff (Q banks, test trainers, etc) but I think I was able to do them properly based off of the in class review. I took my NCLEX yesterday so I can probably update with a better review when I actually get my results, haha!

Thank you for all your comments.. I am now decided to go and pay for that class.. it will be my first time to take it and I am way motivated to study all the things they wants us to know on that class.. I appreciate all of your comments.

I did the live Kaplan review, and I don't think I would have passed without it, but not everything works for everyone. Check with your school, mine got us a 50% discount on Kaplan.
