Is this code for "you passed" ?

Nursing Students NCLEX

I live in CA which means no early reporting of scores. Anyways I have been checking daily on the online site for my license but it hasn't come up yet. I took my test last week on 6/21/05 and felt bad about the whole thing. Mind you I did well on Kaplan tests, my school only does computerized testing and I never failed one of those, so despite my negativity everyone is piling on the false reassurance. I called last week to make sure everything was in. I was so frustrated that I called back today and asked "I wanted to know if all my paperwork was in so I will receive my license?" The lady replied "oh you should receive it in the mail in 7-10 working days" To which I replied "which will I receive my notice of results and then a license if I pass?" So she said "No, you will receive a license card and a wall hanging copy separately in 7-10 days." I then said thank you. Now I know that they cannot tell you whether you passed or not but, many a rumor suggests that they will tell you in code all the time. So my question is, is "No you will receive a card and license separtely in 7-10 days" code for "yup you passed, cause I know thats what you are really asking anyways"?

Ahhhh life in California never ceases to be mysterious...

Thanks for all your input

Sounds like a CODE to me. I am hoping the best for you. The BRN took almost a month to release my liscense since they did not recieve my transcript from the school. My name was up on the website almost a week before I recieved the license and the certificate in mail. So keep checking the website. They update it every morning except weekends!! Goodluck!!!

Sounds like a code to me! I am too afriad to call the BON. I have taken it two times all ready and don't want to be disappointed again. I wish they would send me something in the mail ASAP though. I took mine on the 18th of June. My name hasn't appeared on the website yet either, but my friend called the BON and they said it can take 3-5 weeks for it to even appear online and by then you should all ready have something in the mail.

Keep us posted and good luck!

Several of my friends passed the NCLEX last week. The BRN posts up the license number in California when you passed the exam .. unless transcripts were not in on time.

It took my friends 2 buisness days for the BRN to post their license numbers.

Good Luck! .. .as for me .. my lincense number never came up ... so Im assuming that I didn't pass.

[/QUHow would they know what their license number is online?

CALIFORNIA nurses or students who took the NCLEX can go here:

http://www2.dca.ca.gov/pls/wllpub/wllqryna$lcev2.startup?p_qte_code=RN&p_qte_pgm_code=7800

type in the first and last name - when a their name and license number comes up that means you passed the NCLEX.

I used to work for a licensing board (engineers), and that's pretty much how I would handle it. I would tell them I couldn't give out test results over the phone, but that whether or not a person was an engineer was public record. I would then proceed to tell them their professional engineer number. Most of the time, they would "get" it.

(Edited to say: I only did this if they passed; if they didn't, I would just state that I couldn't tell then over the phone, results come in the mail, blah blah blah)
