i took nclex in march for the first time and only studied questions and answers and of course failed. i was in the depression mode for about 2 months, then i realized i had to get back on the horse. ive been studying saunders, la charity and kaplan for a while. my test is in 15 days and i am officially burned out, to the point where i look at the question and dont care if i get it right or wrong i find myself skimming though the questions. anyone had this happen to them? how did you make it stop!

I feel down by my scores on Kaplan I was hoping to reach at least a 60% on qt6

I am taking the NCLEX-RN for the 3rd time, yes - the 3rd time on Monday... first time failed in 75, second time failed with all 265 (so marked improvement from the first time)...here is what I have on the Kaplan Scores:

    Diag 57
    Q1 48
    Q2 52
    Q3 48
    Q4 53
    Q5 49
    Q6 64
    Q7 55
    RQ 64

As of today I have used 46% of the Q Bank with a score of 50% (which includes one exam with a grade of 6% that i accidentally ended)....

THOUGHTS, WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT, TALK TO ME FOLKS.....

    Greetings my fellow Colleagues,

I'm brand new to this website and to be honest, I found the social network literally this week while I was freaking out over my NCLEX which was scheduled 1/17/2013. Not only did I find some relief from everyone's words of encouragement but I was trying to compare my scores on Kaplan's QTs and Qbanks to everyone else's and it seemed like I had so-so scores so I was realllllly worried about failing since this was my second time taking it. Anyway, I prayed and told God that if I passed, I'd join allnurses.com and release my kaplan QT scores and my status of the exam to hopefully ease someone's stress who might be experiencing similar anxieties as I had just a few nights ago. So here are my scores as followed:

    Diagnostic: 54
    QT 1 48
    QT 2 57
    QT 3 55
    QT 4 55
    QT 5 54
    QT 6 55
    QT 7 57
    Readiness 61
Qbank 56% used 23% of content

So as you can see, my scores for Kaplan were pretty bad, but I took the exam yesterday, ended with 170 questions and passed! I tried the Pearsonvue trick last night and got the good popup. I was still pretty skeptical but I'll be honest, it did relieve some of my anxiety. I decided to sign into my BON website and found out that I had passed this morning! So don't stress over average scores on Kaplan, you can still do it! Good luck to you all! =]
This is AMAZING and sooooo RELiEVING to read!!! I have nearly the exact same scores as you! Readiness is 57.2% avg QBank right now is 54%
    QT 1 = 50.7
    QT 2 = 56
    QT 3 = 55
    QT 4 = 48
    QT 5 = 54.7
    QT 6 = 48.5
    QT 7 = 52.5
    Diagnostic = 45.6

My exam is in 2.5 weeks (1st time)

I am just the follow up kinda guy and wanted to give you all a heads up... I took my NCLEX-RN for the 3rd time this morning and got the good pop up when I got home - I WAS OUT IN 75 QUESTIONS (1st time FAILED in 75, 2nd time got all 265 and this time, yep, out in 75 and got the good ole pop up).... so, am sure I passed... it's never wrong... the stories on here about it being wrong have actually not been verified by anyone...so don't buy into it. Also, as you can see, my scores weren't the best... my advice to anyone reading these posts looking for shreds of hope is this...

    1. READ ALL THESE POSTS AND DO WHAT EVERYONE IS TELLING YOU TO DO... I did Hurst...didn't help me - the two things that I found MOST helpful were 1) NCSBN has a review - their review alone got me from 75 questions to 265 - they were very similar to NCLEX and 2) KAPLAN, the decision tree didn't help me AT ALL, what did help me was understanding what NCLEX was asking in the question and making SMART answer choices.

    2. DO AS MANY QUESTIONS AS YOU CAN - I was doing 100 per day and reviewing the rationales.

    3. DO NOT GIVE UP - I ultimately finished 93% of the QBank questions with 55% correct.

SEE YOU ALL ON THE OTHER SIDE...and post your success or failures here - I was you, sitting here sorting through and reading all these posts about scores and passing and stuff... let others know what worked or didn't work... it means a lot to folks when it's 1am the night before the NCLEX and someone felt the same way you did... helps to get you through...

This might be a bad question but what's the difference between qbank and trainer? And which resembles the nclex more? Thanks!!!!
