Hi Everyone! I attend Wayne County Community College District. I was wondering if anyone new anything about WCCCD's nursing program. Do they have a waiting list? If so, how long is the waiting list. Any info given will be helpful. Thanks!

The co-reqs are PS, English 2, nutrition, life span, patho, medical math, history & SOC 100.

The pre-reqs are A&P 1&2, english1, micro, psy 101,

Could you give me some professors names you recommend for psych and micro? I am not sure how to use the PM function on this forum.

just a reminder of the terms of service:

while it is important to be able to network, everyone should be mindful of the following:

  1. it is a small world - when we narrow it down to a state and throw in some personal info, there is actually a pretty good chance someone may recognize you if you are not careful. your privacy is paramount to us.
  2. while allnurses.com is a wonderful place to vent (without excess personally identifiable details) it is not the place to express why ("x" specific person, place or program) is terrible. gripe away, but since we cannot permit allegations to be made about named entities, your care in not naming them is very much appreciated.
  3. please do not give out personal information about others. do not name names where anyone could identify the person in any facility including your nursing programs.

beestrng, after you have accrued 15 posts your pm privileges will be activated.

then you will only need to click on the paper/pencil icon (one of four) below a member's name (click on the member's name once if the icons are not visible, and they will appear) and the pm window will pop up.

or click on my account, in the yellow bar at the top of each page, and choose create message from the drop-down menu, and the pm window will appear.

Whoops sorry about that.

Can anybody give me some answers about the point system? I have the nursing packet... it just mentions it w/o specifics. How does that work out?

They give you the specifics at the information meetings.

60pt for 3.8 gpa or higher

10 points for 90 or better Teas Math and Reading score (20pts max)

5 pts for taking pre-req 2.5 for half of pre-req

5 pts for experience

5pt for taking all classes at wccc

I am currently applying to the program in January : ) I have a 3.8 with all my co-reqs done so I'm praying I get in on the first try. Anybody in the program right now?

do you get 60 points for an overall 3.8 gpa average or just in the pre reqs?

Just the pre reqs
