Question: What do the envelopes on the side of the threads mean? the blue and red ones. why are some of them locked? i am new and i know i ran into it before but i have been searching for the answer and cant find it. thanks for your help

i wanted to know how in the world do you get into a specialtie field? i am only taking my pre-reqs right now. But when you become and RN or BSN how do you get certified for a specialtiy unit such as L&D, neonatal, ER, ICU whatever you want to be in. Do you take a test? Do you learn a special field in nursing classes? if you know any information please let me know. Thanks in advance!
I'm not sure if anyone has asked this :uhoh21: but has anyone ever take chemistry and A&P during the same semester? i waited to take all my sciences last and now i have to take them at the same time. Will i become confused with the two similar classes? will it be an over load? how is Micro-Biology should i take that with chemistry instead? I just want to know if anyone has experiance takeing multi sci classes.
I am currently taking prereqs at Florida cc of Jax. I have not yet applied for the nursing program but i wanted to know which nursing school is best? Should i get my AS and continue with FCCJ or should i get my AA and hopefully get into UNF BSN program? i know both are very competitive but which school will pay off in the long run? What are the benifits for RN or BSN? PLEASE HELP.
Please ignore spelling errors! sorry
I just joined Phi Theta Kappa in Florida at my CC. I was wondering the same thing. KLONE does PTK show up on your transcripts? i havent been involved in anything yet and wanted to know if it would help my chances of getting into the nursing program or help on resumes. i already paid the fee. :uhoh21:
im from Jacksonville Florida the sunshine state!
I love jacksonville i have been here for 10years. Weather is fantastic. it has a small town feel but with some big city flare! the beach is great. i dont travel to Orange Park a lot. Baymeadows area is great but a lot of traffic congestion. My favorite area is anyplace between St johns bluff and the beach. centrally located. i am still a nursing student so i dont know about any jobs yet but shands is located downtown and havent heard anything to positive. i would agree with heath i've heard very positive things about st.lukes.
Hi everyone i have been watching and reading the forums for a couple months and just offically joined yesterday. i am a student in Florida and i am taking my pre reqs right now. i am a little nervous about the major competion but all i can do is worry about my own grades. I have learned a lot at this site. Thanks for all the advice
Thanks for all the replies. i am doing my pre-reqs now and my school only asks for a 2.7 GPA. I had a 3.5 but i just took a&p1 and got a C drop GPA to 3.2 i only have all the sciences to take and i am crossing my fingers that i won't get anything less than A's i'm kicking myself for that C
I am almost done with my pre-reqs and i wanted to know what others GPA's were before being accepted into your nursing program.
ps. first time user, is there a spell check on these things?
