i havent had an interview since last year. i have an interview tomorrow at an allergy and asthma clinic as a medical assistant but they are aware that i am a lvn but im willing to gain clinical experience as ive told them. i also told them that my salary range is from 18-25. anyways im really scared and nervous...i dont know how to prepare for it since they just calledme today and i have an interview tomorrow at 1030!!! what should i do? any tips?
Thank you for this message. I am a current LVN for a year now with very little experience but I still can't get a full time...decent job. I work at an intermediate care facility aka..care home..as a lvn on weekends only. I'm happy I still have a job but at the same time I really hope to get a "real" job at hospital or rehab center..just somewhere better where i can gain more experience and exposure. i'm going to start volunteering in a month or so..not as a lvn intern or anything since that doesn't even exist..but i will be networking and hopefully get my name out there. ill keep this post in mind! if youhave any more advices please share! good luck in school!
i finally have a second interview after months after months of searching for a job! IM SOOOOO NERVOUS. I researched about Silverado and read bits and pieces. Only questions I prepared for are Why do you want to work here and Tell me about yourself questions. Also a bit of situational questions that I practiced for my first interview back in May I believe. For my first interview though they asked me questions that I don't know at all but I thought I managed to answer them well but I just don't have enough experience. And obviously I didn't get a call back from them. SOOOOOOOOOOO GUYS I feel so nervous and unready. I practice a lil on my medication calculations too like the dose over what you have x volume. trying to remember conversions also. what else do you think I should do?! :[ so scared!!! any tips?!?!
thank you so much! i have two days to prepare ahhh!!!
can anyone tell me about taking tests after the interview? i need to brush up on medication calculations!!! someone help!
can people reply please :[
Hello! I need help please! I have an interview this Monday october 11 and this is my only 2nd time to have an interview as a lvn. I was wondering if anyone has had any interviews at silverado or any assisted living facilities that could share their experience regarding the questions they asked you... or and any tests too like filling up a medication chart or medication calculations. If so please share! I'm really nervous and. I had my license since february and I still don't have a legit lvn job! I really need this job! Thanks!
im bilingual also. congrats! im still jobless
Congratulations! that sounds out of nowhere though! Wish that could happen to everyone :[
hey guys. good news! got hired today after the interview. i feel sorta stupid though because he has asked me if $10 per hour is okay in spite the fact that i have license and everything and just nodded and said yeah taht's fine. i shouldve at least ask for a dollar more or something =/ what do you guys think?
thank you guys. really appreciate it. oh yeah for the agency though...they're really bs. i keep asking them for another assignment but this is what i think. the first time they hired me they said that they're placing me to a assisted living facility. but that didn't go through and the recruiter told me he has no idea what happened to the contract so for weeks i was just waiting but i realized that this agency just recruits and recruits but doesn't even have enough jobs for everyone.
hello. i've posted a thread before blabbing about being jobless. and i know a lot of people are having the same problem. Being LVN is just not doing it. especially that I'm a new grad and I don't have a degree either. But I also read and heard RNs are also having troubles also landing a job.
So anyways, after 3+ months of job hunting ...I still don't have a decent one. I worked for an agency but so far I only worked 2 days as a school nurse since may...and now since school is over..I basically don't have work. I've been applying everywhere...online..walk-ins. NOTHING. but I'm not suprised at all...
on the other hand, i have interview this thursday but not as a lvn...as direct support professional to assist developmentally disabled adults during the facility's day program from 7:30-3:30 MONDAY TO FRIDAY for $10 per hour. (they are really short in staff so i'm pretty sure i'm going to get it and my friend works there also) I thought to myself that since I'm jobless I would just take this opportunity ..though it's only somewhat nursing-related. I don't have any other experience though besides my clinical rotations from school and agency..but it doesn't really count because cmon... 2 days. and a school nurse? eh. with this job, i will actually be in contact and interaction with the clients..it's non-medical..but I can see that this can be a good background since I don't have any other "health-related" experience.
So I was wondering...what is your take on this? Is this a good move for me? I will keep applying for sure. I'm also planning to apply for volunteer at a local hospitals..but it's interesting though because even the volunteer programs are packed. But I need to keep checking...
Hope I hear from you guys. Thanks
thank you for this post. i was doing all of that before and then i gave up. i think that's my problem. i really need to be patient and consistent. i'm going to print this out and remind myself everyday thank you
i feel b etter after reading this! thanks :]
