Hi Kiki, I'm in NC and I took a one day course last month. I just had my CNA exam last week and passed, I thought it was quite easy. I'm glad I didn't use the time to go to a 3 month or longer program and spend the extra money. As long as you study ...

could you tell us what 6 week cna program you signed up for. I'm looking for something quick, less than 3 months like most of the ones I've seen Thanks!!
You are right....prn employees aren't held to the same standards as permanent employees...I wasn't entitled to fmla. I think being a per diem employee could possibly work in my favor...we will see. I'm going to be completely honest and just go, hell ...
Ok, so I used to work for a local hospital as a per-diem health unit coordinator in 2007. At the time my son was around 1 year old and he was having terrible asthma attacks and being sick a lot, I ended up missing a lot of nights while working there....
Hi Everyone, I have started studying on my own for the cna, through online videos, and books. I live in NC, so we are on of the few states that will allow anyone to take the CNA exam. I believe it's called challenge exam. I have taken a phlebotomy co...

I think you are talking about the TEAS. I also brought the TEAS exam package. I took the TEAS wednesday, on the math portion I made a 82.2, I needed to make a least 51. As long as you study the study guide you will do fine. I just studied 1 hour ...
Hello All, I would like to get into a private school for my LPN. Last year I took the teas twice and was off by 1-2 points. I have been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD. I did well on the reading portion, but not the math. I haven't been in school in quit...
I must say that is pretty common for this area. I have worked for 3 large health or hospital companies and just to cover myself was at least $120 per month and I had a least a $500 deductible. Insurance in this area sucks!1 I'm sure if you look har...
I am also I single mother of a almost two year old and haven't been in school since 1999. I started this year at a 4 year school to get my BSN, but I have decided that I will be happy with my LPN and will be hopefully going to a tech school in Octob...

I actually work for a hospital as a unit secretary, per diem...mostly nights. They don't hire LPNs..and they don't offer a plan like that. I wish they did!! At this point, I am leaning more towards my LPN, just because I have only been going to sch...

I think it is worth it to accept the decrease in salary, since a LPN salary is still a whole lot more than i'm making right now. It would be about a 10-15,000 a year increase...which isn't bad at all

I do not see being a LPN as a job, I see it as a career. My point was I needed to make a decision about my future because i'm tired of working a job and not feeling like I have a career now. A nurse is a nurse is a nurse
