Any Potential Regis College Fall 2012 Students?

U.S.A. Massachusetts

Published

Hello, I applied early decision for Fall 2012 matriculation into the accelerated BSN/MSN program and heard Christmas eve that I was accepted. Are there any other members here that are attending the program as well?

I also attended the accepted student afternoon in January and did not get to talk to many people, I think most people there were a bit quiet as was I as well, however I would still like to get to know anyone that has applied and/or accepted.

Hi Annie,

It's Vicki, from Human Dev. : )

I'm sorry you are waitlisted but at least I know I'm in good company. I would definitely ask your current profs for recommendations. I am doing the same.

I really think the main reason we didn't get in is because we still have to finish several prereqs (at least that's what I was told). Maybe I'll see you on Tuesday!

Hi Alexa, Vhughes, and Future

Would you mind telling me about your backgrounds/past jobs, and how many prereqs you fulfilled prior to applying? I'm just trying to figure out their standard for acceptance. I am on the waitlist with Annie.

Hi!!

VHughes - Congrats!! I totally had the same reaction...the envelope was so thin! I had only applied to Regis and MGH...Personally, it was a very easy decision to make. I just found the faculty at Regis to be so much more engaging, responsive, and resourceful during the application process. I think that the program is much more established at Regis, and that the faculty actually takes the time to know each student/applicant. I had attended the admitted student day for the program back in January, and it was such a nice afternoon. It has just been a much more positive experience overall, and the success that the students demonstrate there is also appealing! I hope you decide to join!

Vroussel - I think being on the waitlist is still something to be happy/optimistic about! I have heard that they often pull individuals from the list, I will keep you in my thoughts and hope to be classmates with you! I graduated from BU in May 2010 as a PreMed/Health Science major. I worked all of college as a nursing assistant at Beth Israel, and continue to work there per diem to maintain patient hours. After graduating I took a position full-time in plastic surgery research at Mass General, and will work here until mid-August. I have taken a few classes over the last two years (advanced pathophysiology, pharmacology...) to keep my mind working, but was lucky to have completed the prerequisite coursework during my undergrad.

Let me know if you have any other questions, and best of luck!!

Best,

Alexa

Hi Everyone!

I received my acceptance letter on Friday and will most definitely be attending! Congratulations to everyone accepted so far.

Alexa, I also work at MGH maybe we could get coffee or something sometime?

Hi All,

I received my acceptance letter Thursday to the accelerated BSN/MSN program. I am waiting to hear back from MGHIHP and then will have to decide between Regis, Simmons Dix BSN program and (hopefully) MGH. Is anyone else deciding between these programs?

Hello!

I got in the program and I'm very excited to see what's in store in the academic/clinical atmosphere! I got my acceptance letter Friday and I am pretty sure that I will be attending Regis this fall (I am still waiting on Simmons' admissions decision).

Alexa I also go to BU AND work at MGH!! I am a senior and graduate this May!! I am an OR Assistant and I have been since the summer of 2010. If you or Chantel ever want to meet up here is my email!

Once again congrats and hopefully see you soon!

Hi AML04143! I actually applied to the same programs, and I'm waiting to hear back on all of them (also Northeastern). I applied late to Regis, so I'm not expecting to hear anything until later this month. But hopefully I'll be deciding between them as well!

Hi everyone! I was accepted to Regis back in December and I'll be attending in the fall. Can't wait to meet everyone!

i got in for FNP at regis, but i don't think i will be attending. best of luck to whomever will take my spot.

oh and congrats to everyone who got in. for those on the waitlist, don't give up! it's not over yet!!!

vroussel,

I am a senior in my undergrad as a bio major. I just need micro and ethics to complete this summer. I work as a BHP with children with autism and other developmental disabilities(just started in Dec 2011) and before that just worked typical odd jobs like retail and such. Havent really worked much in the health care system except I did do clinical hours for my emt-b class. GPA for undergrad around 3.4. Hope you get off waitlist!! I know a few people who did not accept their position so your almost there~ Goodluck!
