Montgomery College Fall 2014

U.S.A. Maryland

Hey everyone,

I thought I would start a thread for everyone who has applied at MC for this fall 2014. The deadline was this Tuesday April 1, 2014. I have brought in my application last Friday.

So for anyone else who has applied, has been accepted or has any other contributions please share with us!

I'm waiting for a letter too!

Does anyone know if there is a deposit for MC if you want to hold your spot? And how much it is? Thanks!

Yay! Only about 2 more weeks then??

Em843- I'm not sure about a deposit but last year the letter came with a form to fill out to either accept/decline the offer. If you didn't submit it by May 24th you lost your spot. I'm sure you would also lose your spot if you didn't submit payment, but I never got that far with it last year. Hope that helps somewhat!

Thanks ambz13! Do you know if you can defer for a semester? Just wondering. Thanks again for your help!

Good question. I'm not sure, but I would definitely call and ask! If there is I wish I knew last year!! haha

Thank you to everyone for the updates!

One question: I know I'm getting ahead of myself here, but in general, let's say you are accepted. In terms of the immunizations/cpr card requirements/etc., would they tell us specifically the requirements for those things? And do you guys think it would be okay as long as we get our immunizations/cpr card all completed and updated by the time the program starts in the Fall? Thanks!!

Hi! I also have applied for this fall. My GPA is a 4.0 and I got 84% on my TEAS with a 92% in Reading. I have completed Math 116, Eng 102, Bio 107, Intro to Psych, and A&P I. I am currently taking A&P II and Micro. I am really hoping that I get in this fall but am not sure that I will considering I have not completed A&P II yet. However, I do know of two students who got accepted into last year's fall program both short their A&P II. I would like to wish everyone good luck!!

I guess everything about the immunization will be in the acceptance letter, and you can do it before you get the letter because it takes a week or so to get your result. You can call them and ask about the immunization.

My understanding is that a lot of the information regarding immunizations etc will be addressed at the orientation that usually is scheduled for the beginning of June.

Does anyone know what the typical schedule is like for a student only working on NU classes?? According to the website it will be between 8-10 credits/semester, but anyone know what time of day and how many days a week?

My work schedule will be weekend night shift so I'm wondering if I'll be able to fit in a mini weekend sometime during the week so I can read/study and then go to classes like 2-3 days in the week.

I was looking at the schedule and I also have a friend in the program. Looks like you can schedule all of your classes/clinicals into 3 days the first semester, and maybe 2 days second semester. So you can definitely get a weekend in there!
