Anyone Else Applying For University of Maryland's NP Program 2010?

U.S.A. Maryland

Hi, I'm in the proces of completing my application for the University of Maryland's fall 2010 MSN Nurse Practitioner program, with a concentration in Acute Care pediatrics. Anyone else University of Maryland hopeful?

Yeah I'm kind of kicking myself for not applying more places originally. But it does look like Catholic and Marymount's admissions are still open. I think I'm feeling numb, which is transitioning into feeling crappy. I'm really curious to hear about the acceptance rate - I think we picked the wrong year to apply!

I can't afford Catholic, don't really feel like going in debt massively for a $40,000/year program.

Spring, it may interest you to known I talked to an admissions counselor at Marymount yesterday. If we get our admission packets complete by May 3rd (the next date for application review) we may have a chance. I was told to absolutely have it in no later than June 1st.

blah. Catholic is extremely expensive, as is Georgetown (who's admissions aren't even open yet). Yuck.

Yeah, I'm not really sure why I didn't just send my stuff to Marymount in the first place - I think I was a bit too overconfident for MD. It's just frustrating though, as an undergraduate at MD they were SO intense about telling everyone to come back for grad school - it was like they were saying, oh of course you'll get in! And I had a fellow classmate get into the PNP program after only a few months as an RN last year!

I wonder if I can get my crap together enough in time - thanks for the info about their admissions, it's very nice of you to pass on such prized info!

I got rejected too guys...*sigh* all that waiting! I applied to George Mason and Towson. Anybody know how hard it really is to get into these schools?
