Nursing Students LPN-RN

Published

Could anyone please share their experiences with the NCTC lvn-rn bridge program? I am considering applying for fall 2014 and would like some input. :)

I hope you found an answer to your question seems like there are very few Texas nurses on here and fewer transitioning from LVN to RN so as i have found out this may not be the best resource to search for answers. Good luck and i hope you get into the program.

Hi denise_13, I am also considering this program. I have come to the conclusion that it does not matter how you become a nurse. I know many would disagree, however each person needs to consider what path will work best for them. So much of getting into a specific Nursing program has to do with being the best student. I am being to think that being in the right place at the right time and having the door open as well as being the best student is necessary. It is so competitive here in N. TX to get into a program that I have decided to look at EVERY option regardless of where it is. Please send me a message and we can share thoughts about this. If not then I hope you found the info you are looking for. God Bless!

NCTC has an excellent reputation and very high NCLEX pass rates. It would be a terrific choice if you are accepted to the program.

Do you think it matters whether it is the RN or Lpn program that matters. I am so tired of waiting to get started in any program now. Don't care anymore WHAT it is. Just have to get going on something positive.

Hey everyone! I am considering applying for the LVN program for 8/2014 and reapplying for RN 8/2014 - I have all my courses complete even for the bachelors program - bridge . Is anyone applying for either of these programs ?

Yes that is my situation exactly! I'm presently at TWU taking patho in Denton, and did not make it into weekend program so I'm trying this route now. Studying for the prn exam.

Awesome! when is your LVN exam ? are you applying for the Gainesville campus ? I'll be testing soon too!

Corinth and testing on 22nd in Gainesville

Good luck ladyflyer58! I'll be testing within the next week! Let me know how close the test is to the actual lpn study guide!!

You bet! Actually I had to change my date to the 29th.
