LVN/LPN to RN...What's your schedule like?

Hey guys,

I am a recent LVN grad. I went to an accelerated program that was 10 months in which I was in school Monday-Friday from 7am-3pm for 10 long months lol. It was torture but I was able to work full time for most of the time.

Now that I am considering bridging from LVN to RN I'm wondering what the daily schedule looks like. Are you guys in class Monday-Friday all day or is more like a traditional community college schedule where you are on campus 2-3 days a week all day?

Anyone willing to share there weekly scheduled with me?

I'm an LPN as well getting ready to apply for a bridge program next year. I'm obviously not 100% sure, but in my school, I've heard the schedule is usually 3 days a week all day. When clinical starts its usually 4 days then. I don't think it will be intense like the LPN schedule imo, but I would really like to hear from others too!

At the school I will be starting the summer transition program is 5 weeks and most weeks are 2-3 days. Once the fall semester starts it is my understanding that theory will be Monday and Thursday starting at 7 and I guess ending time varies by class. Then clinical is Tuesday and Wednesdays from 730 to 330.

I'm in an accelerated program. I did all the pre-reqs ahead of time, which I would encourage. I have classes 3 days a week, one is 2 to 2 1/2 hours long, and a class once a week that is 1 1/2 hours long. Then clinicals Thurs and/or Fri. No all day classes.

I completed the bridge program four years ago, but I will share what my schedule was like back then. I was in school every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

I spent Tuesday in class from 1:00pm to 5:00pm, Wednesday in clinical from either 6:00am to 2:00pm or 2:00pm to 10:00pm depending on site availability, and Thursday in class from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

This type of schedule enabled me to work 32-hour weekend double shifts as an LVN at a nursing home during the entire time I attended the bridge program.

I start this summer we have class on

Mondays 8-4:15

Tuesdays 8-12

Wednesdays 1-4:25

Clinicals Thursday.

I finished my LVN-RN bridge program close to 3 years ago but this was my schedule

Friday, Saturday and Sunday: Work from 7a-7p

Monday and Tuesday: Clinicals or preceptorship from 7a-5pm and 7a-7:30p, respectively

Wednesday: Off day, typically spent on study group until noon and then errands

Thursday: Lectures from 8-3pm
