I don't blame you.....I'm starting to consider the LVN to RN route myself. I'm tired of taking class after class, keeping a great GPA, and still not becoming a nurse.

Lisa-I completely agree. I will say, I'll be on a waiting list for a year and then will be able to start my LPN classes, so I'm retaking a few gen eds to get my GPA up (and keep me busy)..since they are all online and then I am taking a few classes at the local university for their BSN program so I can work towards that in the long run. Good luck and I really DONT think we will regret our decisions.

I am so happy for you. It's such a good thing to make up your mind and set your course! I am still working on getting into an ADN program (I'm in pharmacology now); however, I am also blanketing LVN and BSN programs too. I am in a large metropolitan area, so the competition is fierce. For instance, the BSN programs I have applied to get 1800-2000 applications a year and only have 120-150 slots to fill! Yikes!

Good luck, Lisa!

Good luck to you Lisa.

good luck, thats how I did it, I start my RN program in Sept and I am so excited!!! Just watch cause sometimes schools want you to of worked as an LPN for a year before they will let you into the RN program.

Congrats on making the decision. Good luck to you!

My school does NOT require that I work as an LPN for a year before I start the RN program. I might end up doing that anyways but if I have the energy to jump right in then I can :)

GOOD FOR YOU! I waited and shouldn't have, I would have finished soooo much sooner, and all that knowlege was nice and fresh and frankly, after a year, it wasn't so fresh, more like day old bread;) If your school lets you and you plan on going on with either TCN, Rue, or a traditional school, then DO IT. You will be happier when it's all done. My thinking, at the time, was that I didn't want to go to work, learn a new job and environment and try to go to school as well. I was only going to take the summer off, and start in the fall. I ended up starting a year and a half later. That is procrastination. All the best of luck, susyn153
