kaplan college sacramento

Hi everyone. Iam looking into the kaplan college in sacramento lvn program that starts in october. I went for the tour already and passed the first test. What i was wondering was does anyone have any thoughts on this school? are you currently attending this class? how are the teachers what type of finacial aid do they have? any info would be greatly appreciated. also i was looking at csi college in vacaville anything on that school would be helpful too.

When I call I only ask for my rep, and I usually call once a week to check in. He seems fine with me calling, he always says to call with any questions or anything I need to talk about :) But I am sure there are people who don't like that as you said. What do they expect?? :p

I'm getting nervous too! Haven't heard anything....I keep checking my mail everyday and haven't gotten anything either :( ughhh!

Nothing yet for me either! School starts in a month, they need to let those of us know that are in so we can do all the medical stuff we need to, or gather that info, or whatever. I'm thinking of calling my rep later if I don't get anything in the mail today. Plus, I have an unemployment phone interview on wednesday!

So I talked with my rep today and he said that they have made a decision as to who is going to be in the class and they are mailing letters this week. He said that the reps have no idea of who got accepted. Its funny one week he says I have nothing to worry about and then the next time I talk to him he says he has no idea who is going to be in the class. I wish he would have said he had no idea from the beginning, because he got my hopes up and now I am having doubts. My emotions are all over the place I wish they could just call us and give us a definite answer. The waiting is killing me....

Oh I know. It is so hard to wait. I applied for a different location at Kaplan. By any chance, did you get a letter not too long after you completed your application that said...Congratulations on your decision to attend Kaplan College and welcome to our school! ?

no when did you get that and for which location? I never actually completed an application. I just went in took my hesi test and passed, then they did the background and then I interviewed with the DON

This was at the Las Vegas location. Maybe they do things differently at the CA locations. First you take the critical thinking test, then the HESI, then if you pass, you fill out the enrollment agreement, which I believe includes the background check, then off to financial aid. I would think that the next step here would be the random drug screen if you were to be accepted. I got this letter about a week after my enrollment agreement/application was submitted. I thought maybe this was just a general letter that they sent to all that have applied for the nursing program or perhaps any other program at their school and was just wondering if anyone else has received this type of letter.

My rep. said ---"the letters were mailed out today and some are gonna be mailed out tomorrow, so, wait till friday at least".....I donno what to think with all these mixed responses but hopefully by friday everything IS clear!
