Hi everyone. Iam looking into the kaplan college in sacramento lvn program that starts in october. I went for the tour already and passed the first test. What i was wondering was does anyone have any thoughts on this school? are you currently attending this class? how are the teachers what type of finacial aid do they have? any info would be greatly appreciated. also i was looking at csi college in vacaville anything on that school would be helpful too.

LOL! It's funny how they will willingly watch a movie with you but then have to go home and watch something "manly", like put on the Versus channel or something (which I don't mind, I like a good cagefight!)

Ok gals...I just talked to my rep...I was told letters are beginning to be mailed out this week...and some will be mailed out next week. I was told that is what the DON has told the reps. Also confirmed November 9th start date. I also asked about IV/blood withdrawal, and I was told that is in the program. Maybe that is what is being added on? Anyway, everyone keep an eye on your mail, because if what I was told is true, some letters are being mailed out this week!

Cool!!!! I finally got intouch with my rep. She pretty much said the same thing. But she didn't say anything about letters being mailed out this week. She said that the don will be interviewing more people next week also. So what does that mean? Sheesh. She dud say I was a high continder with my experience my background check came clean (duh) I have all my shots and physical. She said she dosent think I have anything to worry about!!! But with this school I will wait to see it in writing! I asked her how many people applied and she said alot applied but alot of dropped out of the process due to different issues. I just want this over and done with!!!

Happy Birthday Ashlie :) Hope you have a great one!

If they are interviewing more people usually that means they don't have enough people to fill the class(especially if a lot of people dropped out). Hopefully that is the case and we are all in and they just are looking for more people to fill the class. Happy Birthday Ashlie :)

Happy late birthday ashlie! They need to hurry up with these letters, since school starts in a month!! My rep doesn't know for sure what people are accepted (when I called the other day) but did say "I anticipate you being in the program". Hmm, does that imply I'm in??? I hope so!!

Applemom--That's kinda what my rep. said too...but she also said "don't take my word for it though" lol.....but I hope we are all in! Can't wait!....oh does anyone of you know that when the program starts, do the clinicals begin right away with the theory or is it after some time or certain classes?

Not sure when clinicals would start. I'm getting too excited, and I don't even know if I am for sure in! No one will give an answer on the phone, but I thought why won't they if the letters are supposedly being mailed out? And why wouldn't our reps know? Or maybe they do but aren't allowed to say, hmm.

Yea, my rep said when I asked him when are we going to find out who got in. He said that I have nothing to worry about, but you didn't hear that from me

Cool! Well it sure sounds like we are all on the right track, very good contenders, etc etc etc...My rep is kinda general with me as you gals' reps seem to be as well, after thinking about it I think they do know. I hope they do. I hope they are implying we're in lol. Sorry to be a broken record :p

when I asked my rep when clinicals started, she said 6 to 8 wks after school starts. but she wasn't very knowledgeable about how long the terms were, exactly how many hours were involved, how the classes were structured and how many hours/day were spent in each subject, etc...

guess we are on a need-to-know-basis and they're the ones that are gonna decide what and when we need to know!

But on a serious note, if school is supposed to start in less than a month, I don't particularly appreciate waiting until this close to the start date to find out what's going on.

I am in the process of putting my affairs in order, finding replacement/filler staff to take over my clients (I am self-employed), and otherwise figure out how the rest of October is going to play out, and start scheduling for November, I'm unable to do so w/o any degree of security.

I am also in the process of finishing a clinical externship. With a limited number of days available, I am cutting it pretty close.

I did call today to check on when they were going to schedule interviews w/the DON for the stockton program.

I was told at an orientation that they do not like to get repeated calls!
