kaplan college sacramento

Published

Hi everyone. Iam looking into the kaplan college in sacramento lvn program that starts in october. I went for the tour already and passed the first test. What i was wondering was does anyone have any thoughts on this school? are you currently attending this class? how are the teachers what type of finacial aid do they have? any info would be greatly appreciated. also i was looking at csi college in vacaville anything on that school would be helpful too.

I am upset about the date being pushed too! Here I was all excited that I would get some kind of letter this weekend but from what you girls are saying, I guess not! There's gotta be a good reason for it though, so I'm trying not to be mad. I agree they probably tell our reps what they need to know, so they don't tell us anything that's not for certain. They probably just found out recently they had to push the date around.

I don't know where they make decisions...I didn't ask coz' everytime I ask something they go around and around the question and confuse me so I thought I shouldn't ask..lol...but hopefully by thursday we all hear something...is it this coming thursday they told you or the one after it?

Thursday October the 8th ( my birthday!!!!) I hope they push it back again!

Oh Wow that's cool...if they call you on the 8th, that'll like a big birthday present or if they call earlier, that'll be an big early birthday present, perhaps? :) Good Luck to all of us! :)

I meant don't push it back. Lol

Do you mean they will at least call on the 8th, or are they sending letters out on the 8th?

Ashlie, yeah I got it that you meant don't :)....and I guess they mean that we should know by the 8th...either by letter or phone? I guess?

That's what i took away from the conversation.

But we'll see. Did they pass for the bvnpt? I've been looking on the website but they haven't updated kaplan yet.

Wow I cant believe Iam spending the last weekend of me being 24 on ALLNURSES.COM LOL. But o well!!! So I was reading the twilight series again (the only thing that takes my mind off of the unknown..lol) and a light bulb went off in my head. So the last time I talked to my "advisor" she said that they were adding more classes to the program so the price of 26,665 would be going up a bit. Has anyone heard of the price now? I was just wondering because of grants and loans and stuff. It would suck if someone got in but couldnt afford it now because of the price....but then good also cause one more spot avail!!! lol... I know I know evil!! My husband will be going to afaganistan early January so going to school would be a great thing to help me to not be so lonely...But seriously anything on the expanding tuition?

I didn't even know that they were raising the price or adding classes...my rep. never told me :(. Wow, I don't know how I am gonna take care of that (IF I get in, that is lol). I don't work at all and my husband does but he supports us and his parents' family so....I seriously hope I get some good grant or a good loan at least or I'm just.....screwed? :(

I know. As long as it doesn't go to 28k I should be fine. I have a 6k grant from the military and supposedly we will be able to get the federal loans but what if it's more than that? Sorry. Don't let me get you worried. I'm a worry wart. I will worry for all of us. You guys party it up cause hopefully this time next year we'll be getting ready to graduate!!! Well that is if we get in. Lol.Did anyone hear about them raising the price? What was the price you were quoted?

I was never told the price, but then again I never asked. Does anyone know if IV cert is included in the program? That is something I never asked them. I've heard of places in the bay area where you can take just an IV cert class (obviously for nurses), but haven't looked around Sac area to see if there are ones closer to here.
