Thanks so very much you are too kind too!!! Whenever I need advice, help, or tips you always help me out and I truly appreciate that!!! And I am sure that you did great on your ACT test, keep me posted ok. I wish you luck in your next clinicals and that is so great that your are so passionate about nursing, that's why I want to becomea nurse so bad because I am very passionate about nursing as well and I cannot wait until I start nursing school and I can help my patients!!! I am doing great today, how about you how are you doingThe classes I am taking right now are Health and Human Services in the United States and World Literature and these classes are great. And in 4 weeks I will be taking Basic math and I am so very nervous!!!:uhoh21::uhoh21::uhoh21:
You take care as well ok, keep me posted ok
Hey ther! How are you today, Missy. ok, I'm gonna keep this short because I still have to tell you how clinicals will go tomorrow. Yes, I'm am sooo glad that you are as passionate about your nursing as I am. When you do go for your LVN let me know, so I can help you practice or if I had already taken the NCLEX-PN test, I can let you know how it goes. I wish you good luck in your classes. I'm not too fond of World Lit, but the Health and Human Services in the U.S. sounds interesting!! Don't let the math scare you. If it's one thing I've learned about math it's don't let your fear overcome you. WE can deal with this together. I don't like math, but now that I am going to become a nurse, I'll do anything in my power to become a successful nurse. I'm sure that your math class will go fine. Let me know how it goes when you take it! OK! You take care, enjoy your day and I'l let you know how clinicals go tomorrow.

have you ever considered enrolling in a remedial math class at a local community college or adult education school? sometimes they're also termed "developmental math classes." they're intended to help adults in the community to brush up on the basics. you cannot begin to understand med math until you've thoroughly mastered the basics. good luck!

thank you for your suggestion. I have not considered that option. However, I'm only 17 and still in my senior year in high school. My teacher told me that she will review the basics of math so we can be prepared for medical math. I've tried a couple problems of dosage calculations and they are not that difficult. Howver, I still want to improve my math skills.... Maybe I'll get some tutoring or something.

Hey missy. How are you? I hope that everything is going good. I know this is like a thousand days late, but clincials went great that day. I believe that day it was a thursday. I think, if I could remember, that we chose to worked with one resident. We are still in pairs. It was the same resident as on Tuesday. I think we had to finiish the packet our teacher gave us to fill out. Then that was it. I also have clinicals tomorrow... I'll let u know how that goes...keep me posted!

you're welcome Missy. And thank you for the comment. And, I take it that you could accepted into your math class? When do you start? Well, don't freak out. It probably justs looks scary because you haven't even attempted the math. I'm sure that once your professor explains the math, that you will understand it. As a matter of fact, I'm about to review my basic math skills in my LPN class because my teacher is going to teach us how to calculate meds in Janurary. If you have any probelms in math please don't hesitiate to ask. I will try to help you as much as I can. Feel free to either PM me or post on the website.

I see lots of people replied to your post but i just want to say that when i was in nursing school they allowed us to use calculators and taught us all the formulas we would need to solve any problem....nclex provides u with a calculator on the testing screen it may seem insurmountable right now but trust me it actually will be easy and most likely fun! I also found out while doing my clinical rotation that most nurses use calculators to ensure that dosage strengths ar in fact correct...I hope this helps

Thank you so very much, you are a lifesaver!!! Yes I haven't even attempted the math class yet and I start Jan. 21 I would have started the beinging of Jan. but my school gave us a winter break that starts this Sunday:Ball::Santa1::Santa3:!!! So I finally get two full weeks off, no school or HW!!! I am taking all my classes online and the way my schedule is set up I take two classes every 9 weeks so I have been in school non-stop since Feb. 07" and i am so ready for a little break!!! The way this schedule works for is that i get my AA degree in about 22 months instead of taking me probably 3 years. This is why my math class scares me because it's online but my husband says he will help me and my school has a regular campus near my Apartment and they offer tutoring in math so that makes me feel a llittle bit better. But if I need help I will definitley PM you or post it here ok, thank you so very much I really and truly appreciate all of your support and help!!! Sorry about the long post, keep me posted ok!!!
