Still Waiting!! Still Praying!!

Nurses LPN/LVN

Well... tomorrow June 17th will be 3 weeks from when I took the boards. (I took the nclex on May 27th) and I'm just still waiting and hoping and praying.. and also keeping myself busy, surrounding myself with people that I love (my children, family, and friends, etc) and also trying to keep positive. The comp stopped at 85!!!

Since taking the test I've been dreaming and daydreaming of when I will receive that letter, rarely thinking negative results, but of positive results that I've passed! I picture myself coming home and going to my mailbox and ripping it open and having it spell out "CONGRATULATIONS YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY PASSED THE NCLEX-PN" then I picture myself calling my significant other first (who is also my best friend and supporter) the good news and then to pick up my kids from school and let them know the good news that mommy had passed... and then the rest of my family.. hearing how ecstatic they are.. and inviting my close best friends (of which I call my extended family) out to dinner and suprising them by announcing the good news that I've passed to them and then toasting to my achievment... :p

I've only told a few people that I've already taken the test.. only because it would've made me more nervous and pressured if everyone knew I've taken it and if I've passed already.... it would be such a great feeling, of course to myself first.. but to surprise people that are important in my life who have supported me in so many ways that I passed my test and then to hear them say, "wow.. congratulations... when did you take your test" or "why didn't you tell me you took your test already?" lol.... and pretty funny too :chuckle

that would be the day... so I'll keep on dreaming, hoping, and praying...

1 more week (and hopefully not any longer)

My heart goes out to you! I can't imagine having to wait that long. I have spent the past week bitter because my BON hasn't issued my new license number even though I have passed NCLEX so I can't imagine waiting weeks. I do think that the 85 is an excellent sign, that is what I got and I passed. Hang in there and please let us know when you get the letter saying you are a fancy new LPN. :)

My heart goes out to you as am in the same boat as you are. I took the Nclex-PN on May 19th and am still waiting for my results. I freak out every time i open the mail box but still nothing. This is my second attempt and i really have put my life on hold as i await m results.

I think just as you said, positive thoughts is the way to go. Let me know when your big envelope gets delivered. The comp stopped at 85 questions too. Am on my knees fro both of us. Good luck to all who are waiting on the mailman

I know california does not partcipate in quick results, but I thought for RN you could look on BON and see if you name appeared. I know this does not work with PN though.

I feel for you. I hope you get good news soon. My CA results took almost six weeks. I was literally stalking the mailman everyday! longest wait of my life.

so how was it im studyn my butt off and im soo scared to take mine its like so much stuff to remember then im scared what if i dont memorize all the stuff i dont know what to do how did you prepare yourself

Hopefully you will have news this week. I think it is promising that your computer shut off at 85. Stay positive and soon....you will be sharing the good news with all of your loved ones.

Any news yet? :)

nope... no results yet! I'm not gonna let it get to me and eat me up... I'm still staying positive while still praying that I passed... and if I don't it's because God has a different plan for me... it will be just another challenge I would have to go through in my life becuase He knows I can overcome any challenge...

I have gone through so much harder things in my life, that I WON'T let this test put me down if I don't pass... I was an orphan at 14 due to domestic violence, pregnant at a young age, experienced abuse... and yet I've overcome all those hardships and managed to move on and now (at age 25) more than ever (and for a long while now) I have been happy with my life. I know I've accomplished so much already, I have a lot of potential, and a lot of things to be thankful for (like my 2 little angels). I'm one that will never give up on a goal if it is truely something I want to pursue. Whatever path God will choose for me I know it's for a good reason. My favorite quote is: "Everything always happens for a reason"

I GOT THIS! Please keep me in your prayers ... and hopefully I'll get the letter this week... it's exactly 4 weeks today!

omg... I just called the boards to find out what week they were working on and they said they're working on May 28th....???!!!! I asked them what about MAY 27th was that sent out already?... (because that's when I took it) and she checked using my SSN and said, "yes... they sent it out today.." so I should be getting the results tomorrow! I can't believe it's so fast.. when I called last friday June 20th... the boards said they were working on May 19th... oh my goodness... I should be getting that letter anyday now.... I'm trying to stay positive, but i'm really nervous now!!! my future rests in a letter that is traveling from sacramento to my home.... I just need to breathe....

I took my NCLEX Mach 21, 2008 and did not even get a letter until May 24, 2008.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU!

I remember when I ripped open my letter from the CA BVNPT and it stated "... has passed the NCLEX-VN." I screamed and danced with my husband I was so happy!

I'm confident you passed (:
