Nurses LPN/LVN

I am currently an licensed vocational nurse in CA. I am planning to move to TX. Wonder if i can do paper works with the board to transfer my license there. Anyone knows?

Start early. The TX licensing process is more involved than that in CA.

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

You apply for a nursing license by endorsement as long as you graduated from a VN school not used equivalency/method 3 Texas only licenses LVNs who graduated from nursing school

Texas Board of Nursing - Endorsement

California is NOT a compact state (but Texas is.)

Specializes in TBI and SCI.

Endorsement. I went from cali to Arizona. I paid fees and did a fingerprint scan again took a few months but I had issues and it took longer. And then you will only be licensed for Texas you won't become a compact license
