Nurses LPN/LVN

i took my boards today. i stopped at 185 questions. what the heck does that mean? i know, i know. it doesn't matter where you end... i just hear a lot of people passing on 85 or 205... anyone pass in between? nearly around my ending number? i studied the new mosby's book w/ new format... i did not get any of the new format and no dosage calculations. i got a lot on nutrition and priority nursing. i feel like i guessed on some, that's how hard it was. i studied so hard.. i hope i pass. if i don't, shoot me! good luck to all!:uhoh3: :uhoh3: :rotfl: :uhoh3: :uhoh21: :imbar :p :uhoh3: :uhoh3:

I remember the anxiety well! I passed LVN at 75 questions and RN at 85. I think the LVN boards were harder, or maybe it was because I had 6 years of experience by the time I passed Rn boards. Someone told me that if your questions were hard, you probably passed, if you were like. . .duhhh, and had very easy questions you probably didn't. But keep in mind you may have had lots of the "test" questions that don't count towards your score. Don't panic!!! You can check in like 3 or 4 days now, as opposed to having to wait 2 weeks like we used to have to do. Good luck, fingers crossed!:p

yes, you can pass at 185 questions. the average number of questions on the test is about 120. don't let the number of questions concern you. 25 of them don't count anyway. it sounds like you did fine. keep us posted.

well, I'm not sure if you took the PN or RN. But I just passed the LVN test. I'm from California and I had to wait for 2 weeks to get my results. Well after I took the test, I know I passed but the more I waited the more I started to think that I failed. Don't worry everybody thinks that they failed after taking the test. So my advice to you is go have a good time and pray to the lord for his blessing. good luck.

so how did it go? did you pass?? pls. keep us updated=)

i took the boards this week also and i went to question 205 i feel it was hard. i called the boards from California and they still have to wait about 3 weeks i called and asked to could they tell me to study more or not then i would no but they can not directly tel you yes or no

Specializes in med surg, telemetry, stroke.

i took mine on 2/16 and mine cut off at 85, but i felt like you do, scared. i live in califonria and the BON told me we have to wait for the letter up to four weeks (help!) and we have no access to quick results like most other states. That is torture isn't it. Good luck to you. I'm praying we all pass.
