In my state you renew each year in your birthday month. Check with your BONs website to see if you need CEUs. Can't think of a reason this would make you cry. :)

Up here we need to renew before December 1st. How they pick these yearly reneweal dates is beyond me.

lol I just didn't know if I would have time to get my CEU'S between now and then?? My birthday is in september, so that must be it...I live in arkansas...their website tells me nothing (or at least I can't find it)

I'm licensed in 2 states. The 2 states in which I hold licensure don't require me to earn any CEUs before the first renewal. Therefore, the first renewal is somewhat of a freebie in some states, because all you need to do is pay to renew the license.

Here is a rule of thumb that you may wish to adopt whenever the issue of licensing arises: if you have a question about your license, always obtain your answers from the entity that originally issued you the license. Therefore, you need to call the Arkansas Board of Nursing for a definitive answer to your situation. Good luck!

I got my license in Feb. I renewed it by July first..so I had to pay only 65.00. After that it is more. Up until 8/31. Its my first renewal ...so you dont have to have CEU's. I am in Ohio. :prdnrs:
