I just have a question... when will they post your lvn license online? I just took mine last may 15 still waiting for the result... thanks

I think when you received your results and then they'll post your lic.number and I think here in Cali you'll have to wait like forever (jk lol) maybe around 2-6weeks.

The California BVNPT will post your license number after the $150 check or money order you'll send them is cashed. You may want to stop looking online because your license number will not be posted anytime soon. It's a lengthy process:

1. You take the NCLEX-PN.

2. You wait four to eight weeks for the result in the mail.

3. If you receive a passing result, you mail a copy of it to the BVNPT along with a check or money order in the amount of $150. This fee pays for the hard copy of your license.

4. Once the BVNPT cashes the $150 check or money order, your license number will be posted online on the licensure verification section of the BVNPT website.

5. A few weeks later, you'll receive a hard copy of your license in the mail.

I'm new to this site, so please forgive me for asking a question that I'm sure has been asked and answered previously. But here it is - Is there a difference in the wait time in receiving your LVN license in CA if you hand deliver the $150 in cash vs. paying by check? If it shaves a couple of weeks off the wait time, I am more than willing to make the 6-hour round-trip drive.

I took the NCLEX-PN on 05/08/15 and received my letter saying I passed yesterday, 06/06/15. There is a handwritten 6-digit number and underneath that it is stamped "ENT'D JUN 03 2015". Does anyone know what that number might be? Could it be my license number? TIA

No. Your license number is not generated until you pay the $150 licensing fee. Some have reported success bringing the letter and fee directly to BVNPT in Sacramento in person but there are no guarantees.

OK. Thank you.

You can get a temporary license from the BVNPT if you decide to pay in person, but still takes about a month to be assigned a license number and to be listed on the website.

UPDATE: I drove to Sacramento on Tuesday June 9th and got my temporary license. On Saturday, the 13th, I checked online to see if I was listed on the website (a shot in the dark). I was completely shocked to see my name and my license number. I was even more shocked when on Monday, the 15th, my license arrived in the mail.

Hi, I sent my check and letter the day after I received it. (7/19/16) I sent it thru certified mail and it arrived there (7/25/16). I just found out that my check has been cashed for the LVN license today. (8/02/16). How long before I see a license number posted online? And if it was posted online, how long before I get my actual license? I have jobs in line waiting and I can't so much without my license number at least.

It will probably be at least a couple of weeks before your license number is posted on the BVNPT's website.
