Hi

I have submitted my Visa Screen application form. I am thinking of applying to the NY Bon (after hearing from here that it is the best way to go) and looking at their site am I right in thinking that I also have to complete the Credentials Verification form aswell? Or was this included in the visa screen application?

Anybody know what the Florida BON are like? ie how fast etc

yours confusedly

If you are getting an initial license in NY, there are only three documents that need to be filled out. The actual application for NY, plus the Visa Screen Certificate application, and the Credentials Verification for NY. The last two are available on the CGFNS web-site to be downloaded. As easy as that. THat is what you have paid an agency to do for you....Even if the money is coming from the hospital, it still could have been in your pocket, one way or another................

I think my licence will be in Georgia. I have no clue but that is where I should have sat the NCLEX, but as you know I did it in London.

Where was your ATT letter from? That is the state where you will be getting your initial licensure. But also take into acoount that Georgia is where OGP has their main offices, so you may just be endorsed to someplace else closer to the time.

hI,

Can i just ask I know nothing of all this BON stuff ect is that because I have gone through agency and that  they have done all this for me or do I need to be aware of it all.

Suzanne,

When I initially looked at nursing in the US and went with OPG my application was done though NY due to no SSN needed, things may have changed but since 2001 but I know the company was keen to use a state BON which did not need SSN numbers

I don't think that Georgia does now, as I know of quite a few who went thru there because of OGP. They had to be endorsed to another state later on, some at the last minute and problems arose because of it. One in particular comes to mind, they had her start at the facility knowing that her licnese hadn't come thru, and the hopsital wouldn't let her work past the Wednesday without her license. Then OGP didn't want to pay her until she had her license in hand, even though they were the ones doing all of the processing. It was a big mess, not sure what ever cmae of it after, if they paid her for the time or not.

They can just be very sneaky. That is why I get worried with someone using them. Lots of little things like that have been done, and I am sure that I haven't heard of more than 0.5% of them. But way too many in my opinion.

They actually use multiple different states, depends on what is going on at the time.

Could be Savannah. I just got my letter confirming I passed NCLEX. Not a lot of detail on it really
