  1. I would gladly appreciate any help here. I am moving to Memphis early next year, RN and work in Acute Rehab. Basically I have four hospitals to choose from. Had a job offer from Healthsouth - no thankyou. The others ,Baptist looked OK, have another interview at St Franics (Tenet), the only outstanding is the Med. From what I have read on the various forums, particularly with Baptist and any Tenet hospital is to run far away. Does anyone have anything positive to say about these hospitals because I am running out of places to consider. Please, I would appreciate any input anyone can give.
  2. Hi Suzanne I am in Visalia, central california. Everything is going well if not a little scary, I have started in a different area and while I felt like an expert in the UK I feel like a beginner here at the moment. I'm sure everything will come together eventually though.
  3. Hi Everyone Thanks for thinking of me. Everything has gone really well. They had put me within an area that I didn't want to be and wasn't expecting but I have changed to a different department without any problems. I work three 12 hour day shifts which is what I wanted. The move itself went without any problems, my daughter has settled in well at school, has lots of friends already and is happy, she is 17. Although we have only been here a short time we have just bought a house and looking forward to moving around June. I can honestly say I have had no problems at all and at this point in time I do not miss England at all, particularly because on looking out of the window, the sun is shining. Good luck to everyone waiting it will be worth it! :) :) :) :) :)
  4. No July 16 is when my 1-140 was approved by VSC.
  5. Sue If you look at http://www.cptracker.com I have posted my details on there. It gives you some idea of how long things are taking from NVC to interview date. Good luck :) :)
  6. Well I finally got my immigrant visa and leave for California on the 15th. For everybody who is at different stages of the very frustrating immigration process don't give up, it does eventually happen. I started the process in August 2003 so it has taken 18 months. Good luck to everyone :) :) :)
  7. I thought PERM was just a new way of filing the labor certification portion of the green card. As nurses are Schedule A and therefore exempt it doesn't help plus it still doesn't affect those nurses caught up in the EB3 retrogression.
  8. The site is http://www.vue.com
  9. Caramel Got my interview date at the London embassy so you should be getting yours soon, fingers crossed :rotfl: :rotfl:
  10. Can I ask you what agency you are going through?
  11. My visascreen took approximately 5 months
  12. Does anybody know how long it takes, once NVC forward your case to the embassy, for them to schedule an interview. Any infor would welcome, now getting desperate
  13. As far as I know, and I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but it depends on what BON you are going through and what they require. On the BON sites under examination information it will tell you for e.g. Georgia Board require Healthcare Professions Course by Course report. Hope this helps.
  14. I passed the NCLEX in February 04. Filed 1-140 in April at VSC got approval on July 16. File sent from NVC to London Embassy on 1 Dec 04, still waiting for interview to date.
  15. Are u going through an agency or going it alone?
