Is it correct dat my request for transcipt form upon completion of data by my school, should be send to the BON by my school and not by me?

regarding mode of payment..can I use my aunt's US check or her credit card to pay for the application fee?

do i need to wait till my school is done with my request for transcript form before I send my application form?

Help me pls!!!!

The BON could care less about where the application was mailed from, they will use the address that you have included in your application. If you use your address in PI on the application, then that is where they will send information to, if your aunt's address, then that is where they will send it to. They do not use the return addresses that are on the envelope.

hi suzanne... just want to ask if the copy of diploma/license and the written explanation, should also come from the school sealed envelope? or should it be with my application form??

Official transcripts always must be sent by the school, you can have your application included in that envelope. License must come from the licensing body that issued it, again they cannot accept it from you as proof that you have that license.

Hi suzanne, i just want to clear things out. But first I want to thank you so much for being of help to us aspiring nurses to work in the States.

Here is my situation:

I have all the requirements needed. I just said to the school official not to seal their envelope first because I was still completing another document. The documents I will place in the sealed envelope for the school are: Official Transcript and Diploma, Request for Transcript and Breakdown from the downloadable application from the CA BON and the Nursing Program Verification.

Did I miss something? My cousin said that he placed his transcript together with his application.

I'm the one handling all the requirements because our school said that we will also be the one to send the documents needed from them.

You said earlier in this thread that putting two envelopes (application and school requirements) in one courier sending is just fine right?

Anyway I'm just a little confused on what documents to place on specific envelopes.

Thank you so much for your time.

Sorry, but you should not be adding anything to the envelope that is sealed by the school. Never anything should else should be in that envelope, or it will be rejected.

Look at what I have written previously, you can add several things to a large envelope, such as your application in one envelope and then the sealed envelope from the school. Like that, but never can the envelope that is to be sealed by the school have anything else with it, or you run the chance of having it returned. Because then it means that it usually was not sealed by the school directly. They also need to afix their school seal or stamp across the seal, as well as be signing it.

You need to go back to the school and have them place only your transcripts in the one envelope from them. Then you can add that envelope to the larger one with whatever else and have it sent.

But your way is not going to be accepted, it will be returned or not accepted at all as it does not meet the strict requirements for any state or government office, or even CGFNS to be accepted.

Thank you again for your help Suzanne. Hopefully by February or March 2008 I will be using your review plan for NCLEX. Thanks again.

You are quite welcome.:balloons:

What explanation letter are you looking at. If not taken local boards then that is all you need to explain. No reason why you don't send it now just make sure you include all relevant details ie name and DOB so they can match letter to application

hi silverdragon, letter of explanation regarding why i dont have a license to practice nursing yet, i recently just passed the local board exam here in the phils. butt the downloadable application indicated that for international graduates: attach a photocopy of your license OR diploma that allows u to practice professional nursing in the country where u were educated. i've already sent to cali BON my diploma before, do i still have to send them a letter of explanation??

thank you so much for ur reply.

hi silverdragon, letter of explanation regarding why i dont have a license to practice nursing yet. thank you so much for ur reply. will keep that in mind. Ü

All you need to write is passed local boards but no license issued yet but will send as soon as it is issued. They will wait for this before approving your file.
