CES Report question

I am really hoping someone on here may be able to help me.

I have a Bachelors of Nursing from an Australian university. On my CES report it states that my Bachelors degree is the equivalent on an American diploma of nursing.

My husband is a hospital trained nurse from the UK. On his CES report it states that his training is the equivalent on an American diploma of nursing.

How can CGFNS say that my husband and my education is the same? I have a university degree and he does not.

I have tried to speak to CGFNS about this but have had no luck getting an answer. The person they said I need to speak too wont return my phone calls or emails.

I really want to do further study here in the US but I need to have the equivalent of a BSN to do it.

Thanks

btsol001 I went through Virginia BON. I have found them to be so nice and helpful. Do you have a CES report from CGFNS yet?

Mainly we see Australian trained nurses have issues with obstetrics when coming to some form of transcript assessment

Hello Ahua12,

could I ask you which which remedial course you've done. I'm in a similar situation and I'm currently looking for a course.

Hi, Ahua12, I am interested in contact with you because I have the same problem. I applied to Florida board and cgfns written in CES report I was lacking hours in clinical and theories. Almost same numbers as yours. Where I can find the remedial refresher course to make up my lacking hours. Do you mind to give me some info where you took it?

Thank you very much for your info.

I took my remedial nurse course at Florida Southwestern University in Fort Myers. Here is the web page that lists all the remedial nurse courses.

Florida Board of Nursing >> Florida Board of Nursing Approved Remedial Courses - Licensing, Renewals & Information

Hopefully you find a course that works for you. They are a bit expensive but well worth it to sit the NCLEX and start working!

Thank you very much indeed Ahua12, may I know around how much the cost. So I can prepared and check my saving. I really greatly appreciate you information. Once more thank you indeed for the info.

cheers,

Oh ya one more thing, How Long it takes to complete?

thank you Ahua12

I can't remember the exact cost, I think it was 1-2k. The course was a month long. 96 hours class, 96 clinical. I ended up working for the hospital system where I did my clinical's. Good luck!

Amazing, thank you Ahua12 God bless you and happy Christmas :)

Hi Miriam80 - Which state in the US did you apply with? Which Australian University did you go to? And (one more!) which credentialing service did you use (eg CGFNS)? I'm in the process of applying through the CGFNS and Colorado Board of Nursing at the moment. Thanks!

I don't know you are still active in this forum

I am having difficulty getting license verification form from Aphra to CES CGFNS. How was your process ? Aphra refuses to fill CGFNS forms and CGFNS refuses to Accept good standing certificate only.
