Australian-trained nurse applying with CGFNS and Colorado Board
Hi Sonja, Hopefully your journey will be smoother than mine! I found the CGFNS an absolute NIGHTMARE to deal with as you can never get a hold of them and they generally don't respond to your emails. I also had a hard time because I did TAFE before QUT so I had to get them both evaluated. But if you've only gone to QUT and only have to deal with them, it might be easier. I didn't have to do supplemental courses as I did my electives in paediatrics and obstetrics (at QUT) which is what Aussie-trained nurses generally lack in. Did you do those as well as related placements? I'll give you some contacts at QUT and CGFNS that can help you out, just send me a PM. I'm going away on holiday early tomorrow morning so I might not get back to you until next week if that's ok! Thanks and good luck, Danielle

Australian NCLEX pass rates?
Hi ccampbell66, Just wondering how you went with getting registered in the USA? I am an American/Australian citizen that went to QUT (same years you did, actually!) and am in the process of applying through the Colorado Board of Nursing. I've applied with the CGFNS and CO Board, yet to get an answer from either. I ended up doing electives and placements in Midwifery and Paediatrics just to help my odds in getting registered in the US. Thanks again :)

Australian-trained nurse applying with CGFNS and Colorado Board
Hey guys! Just wondering if any Australian nurses have had recent success with the CGFNS or just generally getting registered in the USA? I am in the process of applying with the CGFNS and am waiting for them to receive my University report to evaluate. I am planning on registering with the Colorado Board of Nursing if all goes well. My nursing background: I did a Diploma of Nursing at TAFE then did my Bachelor of Nursing at QUT. While in QUT I made sure I did my electives in midwifery and paediatrics as well as clinical placements in each just in case I wanted to move back to the USA (I'm a dual American/Australian citizen). I know that in the past a lot of Australian nurses have had issues with lacking obstetrics and paediatrics in their degrees which is why I tried to include them. Anyway, any insight or experiences would be very helpful! Thanks in advance :)

CES Report question
Hi Miriam80 - Which state in the US did you apply with? Which Australian University did you go to? And (one more!) which credentialing service did you use (eg CGFNS)? I'm in the process of applying through the CGFNS and Colorado Board of Nursing at the moment. Thanks!

Australian Nurse wanting to work in USA
Hi guys, I'm in the same situation too. Just applied with the CGFNS then will apply with the Colorado Board of Nursing so I'll let you know if I get through or not. I did my EEN's through TAFE then my RN degree and made sure to include pracs in maternity and paediatrics. I just don't know if that will be enough! Let me know how you guys go too!

US citizen, trained in Australia wants to come back to work in US
Hello everyone :) I know this post was from a few years back, but I was curious as to how you went with your move to the USA Leighsa7? I am a dual citizen of USA and Australia and want to move back to USA as well (preferably California). I'm in my final year of my BON degree at QUT in Brisbane. I first did my EEN Diploma at TAFE (like the LVN/LPN in USA) then finishing my degree at QUT so I'll be an RN. I have been on the phone a bit with the CA Board of Reg Nursing and it sounds like it might be a 7 month wait to even get registered! Any tips on registering in the USA (any states) would be so helpful! Thanks!
