I thought it might be nice to have a place for us to vent our frustrations with waiting until May 30th or so when letters start going out. I know I'm going nuts already!

How about introductions and a little info about each person?

I'm applying to both Bloomington and Indy-Lawrence for the Fall 2009 ASN programs. I turned in my apps this week with 4 As on the pre-reqs and a 90.0 on the TEAS. My eventual goal is at least getting a BSN, and if I feel like doing homework long enough, an MSN of some sort. I work full time now, but will hopefully only work part time if I get accepted. I'm so antsy to start preparing and finally feel like all of this is real!

Great thread idea! I am applying to Lawrence and possibly Columbus for the Fall 2009 ASN program. I have 3 As in my prereqs so far, and currently have an A in my last prereq. My highest TEAS is an 88.2% so far, and I'm taking it one more time at the end of the month. Eventually I think I will probably get an MSN but down the road, for sure. I work full time third shift and will continue to do so when/if accepted to the program, out of necessity. I hope to work in pediatric intensive care or peds oncology or NICU.

Yay! I know I will be waiting with bated breath after I turn in my app!

Right now I have 1 A and 1 B in pre reqs...I should finish out English this semester with an A and hopefully 102! I scored an 85.3% on my first shot at the TEAS and will be taking it again at the end of the month.

I am applying to Anderson, Columbus, and Indy-Lawrence. Hopefully I get into one school out of those 3!

I am definitely doing my BSN afterwards...and have really been toying with the idea of MSN to be a NP.

Hi all!

I'm applying to the Fort Wayne campus with a 92 on the TEAS, 3 A's and 1 B on my pre-reqs, but I'm retaking the B class and I currently have an A. So I have at minimum a 205 right now, but I'm hoping for a 215. It's going to be such a long wait!

i just wanted to say good luck and that I hope the wait goes quickly for you all! I remember all too well, that feeling of waiting for that letter to come in the mail last year.

I hope you all get in! and that you find out early!!

Thanks Wishn!

Hi everyone! It is nice to hear from people that are in the same position...can you say stressed!!! I have 3 A's and hopefully an A in 102 (looking good so far...knock on wood!) :) I scored an 88 on my Teas...and I am debating about whether or not I should take it again...thoughts anyone? (I am applying to Indy and Anderson) I had heard that the lowest score Indy took last semester was a 206 and that gives me a 211 in Indy and a 208 for Anderson (I heard the lowest score for the ASN was 201)...

I, too, plan on continuing on to my BSN and MSN. I already have a BA from IU, and would love to continue with their RN to BSN program...have any of you talked to an advisor about their program or know of anyone that has gone through it? I was just wondering what it is all about.

Good luck everyone!

Does anyone know if the application deadline is different for the ASN and LPN programs?

I know for Indy and Anderson the deadline is the same, April 1 by 4:30 pm (Anderson's apps are supposed to be turned into the Muncie Campus)...I am not sure about the other campuses.

So what if you want to apply for both programs?

You have to apply to both at the same time, they will consider you first for the ASN program, and if you do not get into that program, you will be considered for the LPN program. So basically the top 60 (or however many at your campus they are accepting) get placed into the ASN and the next 60 get into the LPN program, then if anyone doesn't take the ASN spot, the top scores in the LPN program would move into the open ASN spot(s)...does that make any sense at all???

When I turned my application in at Indy, they only needed one copy of my transcripts and Teas score, but both applications. At least they don't charge to apply, and the applications are simple!

I hope this helps and doesn't just confuse you more! :)

That makes sense, thanks :)

I went to a nursing info session last semester, and unfortunately I couldn't remember how they said the application process worked. My initial college plan was to enroll in the respiratory care program. However, I have been working as a CNA for the past few months, and I really love the facility I work at now. So now I'm toying with the idea of applying to the nursing program. I have 2 B's and 2 A's in the prereqs, but I havent taken the TEAS. So I guess I better hurry up and make up my mind!! lol

BTW - Although I am partial to walking horses, I like your name... I am quite the horse lover!
