How many steps do you take a shift?

I'm just genuinely curious. I have a pedometer app, and I noticed it says I take 9,000-10,000 steps per 12-hour shift. Am I working too hard? HAHA.

Not bad, my average is 5-6K in an 8 hour shift.

Not enough to counteract the bad eating habits I am now developing as a nurse.

I used to be a marathon runner and was very healthy. Now, I'm too tired to go for a run more than 4 times a week and am gaining weight at quite a clip.

I've averaged 5 to 6 miles a shift

I walk more now than I did when I was counting my steps. I lost my Fitbit off my wrist my first week on the job (likely in the trek back to the parking lot) so I don't know for certain. I'd say at least 15000 steps a day.

Just reached a new record of 15K steps/6 miles today ? this was in 8 hours.
