Hi guys! I'm baby sitting my sister's two dogs, so my stress-reduction techniques are sorely needed the next 9 days. LOL

I went to the gym on Tues and Thurs. this week. I had care trouble on Wednesday and didn't make it. :)

Still have your own two?

Are they staying w/ you?

Good luck! What kind(s) of dogs are they?

Tweety -

Are you trapped inside with the "babies" for 9 days?

Is there a dog park around? Maybe they can go romp & play?

Are they loud? If so...mp3 player & headphones!

Of course, it's not very healthy...but chocolate & wine always works!

Seriously my dogs are either my best stress relief or drive me stark raving mad & sometimes in the same hour.

We're with you babe.

Yes, Zoe, there are four dogs in my house. They are all Italian Greyhounds with similar demeaners and are settling into the routine here rather well.

I agree greener, they can relieve stress and lower blood pressure or cause the blood to boil. The dog park isn't a bad idea. It might rain today, so we'd better stay in.

Hi guys. Still struggling a bit here with consistency with the exercise, eating, and meditation. Right now with 4 dogs meditation is virtually impossible, but I'm trying.......

Hi... my name is Mercy and I'm addicted to marinated red peppers. Seriously. I ate an entire jar of them in one sitting at lunch. Not for the first time, either, I must say. Good thing they're healthy, bad thing they're expensive!

LOL...mercy. I wonder why red peppers are so expensive. They are $3.99 a pound here and I love them. They are extremely healthy, but sheesh.

Do you have to pay for that in the "end"? ha ha

Well, bad news. I've kinda fallen off the wagon these past couple of weeks, but tomorrow will be a new day. A couple of days ago at work, one of the cafeteria women who was passing out lunch to the patients was moving her cart around and I moved out of the way in order for her to be able to pass. Well, the cart still came relatively close to me, especially my belly, and she said, "Oh, I have to be careful. I don't want to hurt the baby." Problem is, I'm not pregnant. She's probably the third person to say that to me since I've started working at my hospital. I can't stand it. The most annoying thing is that in order to make myself feel better about my self-esteem taking yet another blow is to eat. I can only try to give myself a push and do better than I have been lately. *sigh* :(

I hope everyone else is having a much better time, though. :)

Whoops. I forgot to post this: it's an article about how weight loss might be stressing us out. I hope you guys can see it. Let me know!

Mave, I can see it and relate. Being on a diet can really be stressful. I also understand that when I'm hurt, angry, depressed, or stress I'll turn to food and it's a vicious cycle. Hang in there!

Uggh I hate that - had a little kid once ask me when I was gonna have my baby. There was one time though I got a kick out of it. Back in my wild days, had a guy ask my landlady if I was pregnant. I had only gone out with him a few times and he was worried he was gonna be a daddy! Thought it served him right for ditching me the way he did. Don't have that problem anymore since I'm now celibate! Life is a lot easier that way ;) Oh the days of youth and foolishness.

But anyway - that's extremely rude! I never dare say anything to a lady unless I hear from her own mouth that she's pregnant! But, if that is something that helps motivate you that's great. It did me when that kid said it!

It IS very stressful! That is probably part of my nervousness on the new job. And everyone is eating around me, and ordering out, etc. CONSTANTLY. They also provide us lunch if we want it! Yesterday was skabetti and I was too hungry to refuse it, sigh... hopefully evening's meals won't be as heavy. Or delicious. And I can just bring my own. (But it sure does save time and $ to just eat theirs! Sigh...)
