    Hello everyone.........so much going on........
    It sounds like everyone is doing good.
    Hiker........dh is a chef, but has cooked at hospitals before, he interviewed for the cooks position yesterday........He would have to drive over an hour to be able to cook at a restaurant, not worth the gas....

    Well, I am a little behind the times, but we are having beans at the senior meal today.......so will be my turn to TOOT
    Went walking by the river yesterday, it is so beautiful, running fast with all the rain we have had, and more rain today.
    See ya'll later, gotta go get ready.......helping cook today.......wheres dh when you need him?

    Hi all!
    Angie - I LOVE to grill,tho tend to overcook everything trying to make sure it's done. Will definitely give these a whirl.
    Zoe - sounds like you are feeling better? And sure, I'm up for product development!
    Sarah - how are you doing dear?
    Muffie - Cheryl would be shocked at my tp use. It is more than 3-4 sheets.
    Especially at work with that single ply stuff.
    Hiker - glad you had a good trip!
    Tweety - sorry I missed your cyber party!!! Glad you had a good day.
    ER - are your patients going to blame DH if the food isn't to their liking?!!
    I feel like I keep catching everyone on the fly. 2 weeks til my replacement starts. Maybe then I can have some more reasonable hours!!! This 50-60 hour work week plus school is for the birds.
    Starting my next count down - back to Vegas on 4th of July with DH! My 50th BD is on 7/2, and this year is 7/7/7 on the calendar, so we are going to try our luck. Really just a good excuse to get away for a few days.

    Blue, I hope your accomodations are as nice your next trip as they were the last one Happy early birthday

    Been eating a bit better. Getting out of the house helped. I find I eat when I'm either anxious or trying to avoid something--neither of which is a problem when I'm playing outside, LOL.

    I am feeling SO much better - I must have been carrying this bug for months because I have not felt this well in a long long time!

    I went walking the last two days and really watching that sodium and empty calories That feels pretty good too (altho shopping yesterday was very tough for me, I was chanting "low sodium" and everything was bad bad sodium ... even stuff I don't usually eat, I wanted!!!)

    As to 7/7/7 - 7 is the number of "completion" - lots of people are fasting that day or for a period of time ... winning money? Sounds like a plan too!

    Had oatmeal with prunes cooked right in (micro) - and then ricotta (part skim) added. No really, the ricotta tastes good, much better than yogurt if you ask me!!

    I have done this with apples or pears (cooked them with oatmeal or cream of rice with a little extra water, in micro), can add cinnamon with the apples and it's really good, then the ricotta after it's cooked. Bananas added to plain cooked oatmeal, with ricotta added afterwards, are like a banana cream pie ...

    Or, use canned no-sugar-added fruit, 1/2 cup, plus the ricotta, added after the oatmeal is cooked.

    None of these have sugar added. When I'm behaving I usually have this kind of bkfst to get some fiber... I'm also liking raisin bran, and of course the "Go Lean Crunch" (altho that causes horrible odiferous flatulence! Have to plan it for a day without people ... lol). I figured out what Go Lean Crunch reminds me of - remember "Super Sugar Crisp" from childhood? I can hear the jingle in my head right now It really does taste like that to me!

    Trying to get psyched up for a walk cuz now I am full of bkfst and coffee! LOL! But I will... I go in late today. I plan on my other work days to just go walk after work, as Tweety seems to find it helpful to motivate/discipline that way. Hopefully that way I can't get into my "I'm too tired..." whine when I come home and collapse after work, or my before work "I'm too sleepy and I still have to work so I won't have enough energy to work..." mode. There's alllways somethin' ...

    Hi guys! Sorry I've been missing, been sooooooo crazy busy! It's good though, I like being busy. Thanks all for the positive stuff, I think you're probably right about Vegas, it just sounds good cause I can't have it - LOL, grass is always greener and all that stuff. Well, anyway, the skies are grey today and it looks like it might rain, which actually makes me happy, that means we will have green pastures, yeay! I want all the sunshine I can get, but I know we could use the moisture.

    I am PMSing, so I feel all bloated and blah and not eating as good as I should, but I know that and I know it will be better next week, so I'm not too worried about it. I am feeling pretty chipper today, so yeay!

    I went straight to the gym after work, but cut my cardio by ten minutes. I was just too pooped, but 30 minutes was o.k. with me. I'll try to make it again tomorrow.

    Zoe, I'm trying to taste that breakfast and if you like then it's good, but sounds odd. LOL

    LOL Tweety - it's ok, thanks for listening. Good deal with the gym. That is one thing I have been doing . . . exercising . . . yeay! A friend has started walking with me and that has really helped, we have been walking between 3 and 4 miles a night within an hour, so that's been really good for me! I love it! Keep up the good work!

    I went walking before work and it was very nice, my fav. walking route. I'm going to have some pix up soon. Anyway - I didn't want to walk but I made myself do it! I know that when I stop it's harder to start again (drat drat drat!)

    As to bkfst, I was EXTREMELY skeptical about the ricotta at first. The first time I tried it it was cream of rice cereal, cooked, added 1/4 cup part skim ricotta, and 1/2 cup canned (Packed in juice) pears. If it's too cold after that you can always warm it up but I tell you - I fell in love at first bite!

    Supposedly helps with the PMS, moods, and etc. It's not about how you FEEL you are doing - fact is you're doing GREAT!

    Aww, thanks Zoe!!! It was pouring last night, my friend and I started out walking in the community building, but then we decided to walk in the rain, we were both soaked by the time we were done, but it was wonderful! I love the rain and now today it's going to be sunny, so I am all excited!

    Yeay on the walking to you as well Zoe, it is so wonderful! I am just like you though, I don't always want to go, but it is so much easier to stop than it is to start again, so I keep plugging away. It is worth it!
