Pizza is not on my diet plan. So enjoy a piece for me RN in 3.

Renee, sounds like your family is going to be a positive influence. Three times a week is my goal for the gym too. (I made it four times this week on this four-day stretch of days off.)

What are cheeserollovers? My diet plan is loaded with cheese (low fat or fat free of course). Good thing I love cheese. I've got cream cheese, shredded cheddar, shredded Mexican four-cheese blend, Swiss cheese, and cottage cheese, string cheese (all low fat or non-fat of course) for the upcoming week. I even have soy mozzerella cheese, because they encourage soy several times a week.
Sounds like my kind of a diet (cheese-aholic here )

BTW, I didn't order the pizza but I sure WANTED to!

I am having a bummer of a day. So I took my dd and dog to the park (its very dog friendly) and walked 2 very brisk miles around the lake trying to keep up w/her on her new bike. I do feel better now, a little less upset and the fresh air did wonders for me. Being out in nature is so soothing, don't you find?

I need to make this more of a habit. Who cares if it's 40 and cloudy? That is great weather for a very hard, brisk walk.

Deb, sorry you're having a bummer of a day. 40 and cloudy is great for that area this time of year, eh? No rain I mean.

Renee, thanks for the explanation about the rollovers, I think I have an idea of what you're meaning.

RN in 3, I guess it's good you didn't order the pizza. The cheese I get to eat is measured out in very small (for me that it), but it eases the cheese cravings.

I was plesantly surprised that my menu allowed for an old fashioned cheese burger. With a small portion of extra lean ground beef broiled, low fat cheese and whole grain bread it was wonderful. Nice to know you can healthy-up a burger and still have it taste good.

Yep, I feel the same way about nature. A walk in the woods does wonders. Of course it's hunting season, so I have to pick my parks carefully. :roll

Is this a high protein diet? I've missed what kind of diet you are on.

I'm afraid of getting on the scale - been doing the stress eating. Everytime I start a diet or exercise plan, I backslide.

Ok, I just came back from my week 4 weigh in at WW. I have lost 13.6 LBS sofar. :roll I have never lasted this long on any kind of diet. Which I don't want to call this a diet. I have changed my lifestyle. I control my portion size and I do not snack on sweets anymore. I even got my mom in Germany to do it with me. She just calls me every day and tells me what she plans to eat and I tell her the points for everything. It is fun.
I want to try Yoga. I have never done that. I think it would be stress relieving. I need to get my mind of reality. At least for that one yoga hour.

    Kiyatylese, that is awesome congratulations!

Steph, I was/am the same way. Everytime I started a diet, it was "I'll restart tomorrow instead, I can't today". Which is why I picked a day in the future a few weeks ago and stuck to it. The diet I choose is class Glycemic Impact Diet. Here's the description. It's similar I think to the Zone or South Beach. The idea is to eat meals to keep blood glucose levels from being too high or too low, and to each often to keep your metablism going. Women have a lower caloric intake on this diet I believe. We'll see when I weight in on Monday what the verdict is. I like that fact that I haven't been too hungry, and they make up a diet for you and if you follow it you stay within their caloric restrictions and the carb/protein/fat ratio and the guesswork is taken out of it. There are lots of other diets you can pick on ediets, this is just the one that suits me. (Now I sound like a commercial)

    Daily Calories: 1500-1600

To help reach your goals, your calculated calorie level for Weight Loss is 1500-1600 daily calories on your Glycemic Impact Diet™ meal plan.
    Meal - Calories
    Morning 375 - 425
    Afternoon 475 - 525
    Afternoon Snack 75 - 125
    Evening 475 - 525
    Late Night Snack 75 - 125

    Nutritional Guidelines:
Our Glycemic Impact Diet provides the optimal balance of protein, carbohydrates, and fat. Approximately 30% of the calories are from lean protein sources, 30% from healthy fat, including mainly unsaturated fat in nuts, oils and fish, and approximately 40% of calories are from unrefined carbohydrates -- whole grains and whole-grain breads, fruits and vegetables.

Tweety, does your meal plan have a choice for holiday meals as well?

CONGRATS! I will oficially start my diet AFTER we get back from vacation so the second week of January. Figured, even as fat as I am, that there is no sense on setting myself up to fail yet again since I do not plan on cooking the entire 3 days .

I really want to try yoga too. My 12 year old daughter was a gynmast up until August and she is so flexable but is loosing it since she no longer works out 12 hours a week. I think it would be a great mother daughter activity even though she doesn't need it for weight loss - she a stick! If she didn't look so much like me I would think I brought the wrong baby home from the hospital!
