Thanks, Ladies! I am really looking forward to moving ahead and serving again.

Congratulations! Was your application reviewed in November? Did you get word from your recruiter? When you find out your orders, will you mind posting if you got 1st, 2nd or 3rd choice for duty station? Again, congratulations, I know it has been a long road.

firefiter, I am going into the reserves as a flight nurse. I already have a reserve unit, the 36 AES out of Pope AFB. It's a little different coming in AD and/or as a new nurse. My recuiter is the one that called me though, yes. He just called tonight while I was on my way to work.

Had my commissioning done at our flight program's air base in Wilmington, NC. The LtCol that swore me in is one of our ED physicians. My father was able to come down (2 hours each way) for the rather short process, but it meant the world to me. He is a retired SgtMaj in the Marine Corps. It was great to have him, my wife, some other family and friends come out to see this happen.

As you can see, it was not a huge deal, I don't have my uniforms yet, so I did not get to pin on rank. It was very nice, very well done, and it felt great to have people there that have known about this goal for the past 2 years.

Just thought I'd share! It's official, I am now a member of the Armed Forces of the United States again!

Congrats! Hope to do a similar process, 22 months, wow.

Are there still positions at Pope? I am still waiting for a reserve recruiter to talk with, I was hooked up with a recruiter out of Marietta, Ga but at this point have only made one email contact with a phone number.

I hear it's more than the standard commitment of one weekend a month/2 weeks a year. How much will you be flying? How much training is involved?

Congrats again, sounds like an awesome opportunity!

congrats to you!
