Put "RN" at end of name

I'm starting nursing school in less then 2 months so I'm buying all the supplies I need which includes a stethoscope. http://www.medisave.net/ offers free engraving. And I thought I might as well as buy a nice one that lasts.

I don't know if I should put my full first and last name, or just put my first name and initial.

My friend who didn't make through nursing school said I should put my name and "RN" after it, as motivation. But would it be weird to put that since I'm not really an RN yet?

So I guess my main question is really if I should put "RN" at the end or if that would be weird since I am still a student.

too polite... i would be tempted to try *****, this ain't yours!"

If you really want to make it hard to steal, unscrew the ring around the head that holds the diaphragm, remove it, and with a magic marker write your name sdrawkcab (backwards, in mirror image) in big capitals on the inside surface, then put it back together. The name won't wear off and is hugely and instantly visible if the head isn't in a pocket. I never lost another once I did that.

I had my first and last name engraved on my purple Littmann stethoscope! :)

I didn't have mine engraved as I don't want to lose the warranty. I'm going with a tag and GrnTea's advice on marking the diaphragm.

I got "tic-tic-tic- boom!" On mine, always know its mine!
