Nursing school is tough. I have had my share of breakdowns, tears, frustration, happines... the whole rollercoaster ride of emotions. But when it comes down to it, how do you relieve all that stress of nursing school.

If your up to it, please share your hints with us all.

My stress reliefs:

1. a month calendar with everything charted on it from assignments, projects to exams, even holiday and breaks =D

2. yoga/exercise

3. hanging out with classmates, friends, family after exams

4. my puppy

1.long bubble bath

2.Good music

3.Scrapbooking (i love my scrapbooks)

4.Pets

5.Having an 'early' night

Honestly my stress relief is:

Coffee in the morning, alcohol at night, repeat....LOL. I think I am in a class full of drinkers because our alcohol consumption skyrockets when we are in school!

1. Starbucks :yeah:

2. Driving around in my 1973 Volkswagon Thing

3. Snuggle-time with my son

4. Telling myself over and over that I'll feel better in a few minutes/tomorrow/next week

5. Emailing my fellow students/friends and "venting"

1. My cat. A few weeks into my first semester of school I hit up the humane society for a cat because I needed some pet therapy.

2. I cook.

- My fellow students think I'm crazy, but I'll go to the gym twice a day if I can.

- Sometimes, especially on weekends but also on class days, I like to wake up crazy early and make coffee and watch the sun rise.

- Wine, of the rich, spicy, red variety

- Never underestimate the power of a hot hot shower

1. Starbucks coffee! Instant mood lifter and stress reducer!

2. spending quality time with the boyfriend/friends

3. a loooong, hot shower

4. music

5. using one of those stress balls

6. swimming at the rec/relaxing in the hot tub! I plan on working out more this semester, too!

7. sex!!! :chuckle seriously tho! INSTANT stress reducer and it helps to release endorphins!!!

Sex and lots of it.

a margarita a good book and a pool.:chuckle

Sex and lots of it.

Definitely agree with this statement. :D

I also have pet rats, and they make lovely stress relievers when they're not scratching lol.

Reading magazines like Cosmo and Glamour also are good stress relievers.

I'd like to go to the gym and pick up some yoga and tae kwon do again. There's something about sweating that's just really therapeutic for me.

Thanks all for the good ideas for this fall, have heard how stressful it all is.

I plan to do the calandar idea.

I feed (& garden for) the birds in the yard, hard to be stressed w/all the little birdies visiting you. I get an amazing variety, especially in the winter.

Spend time w/the hubby. We have had date nights every Fri. since we started dating. & by 'date' I mean ordering take out, a movie from Netflix & lounging on the couch, and we love it. But I'll be working Fri nights during school, so we'll have to figure something else out.

Have to agree w/sex, always a great stress-buster.

Coffee, pilates at home, my cat is always a source of amusement, audiobooks on my Ipod at bedtime, walking around in Target (don't always have to buy anything, just looking), reading This Old House magazine, I'm an HGTV junkie, & cleaning. I smoke too, but that's a habit I rather quit than lean on.

giving my liver a workout

my #1 is probably;

SHOPPING and coffee (or the two combined)

Sex would be a very close 2nd

Playing with my Dog

Scrapbooking (always a HUGE stress reliever)

Ice cream, milkshakes, or something equally sinful always makes me feel wonderful also.
