Ordered my nursing uniform yesterday. Went pretty well. Yellow shirt wasn't blinding, lab coat fit well & dirt cheap. I was pretty happy.
They said there were problems with (ahem) women showing up in see thru pants. So they handed me their thickest pair.
I go in the dressing room & the pants fit great except for one problem...
They were completely transparent. You could see the outline of the pockets perfectly. My underwear looked like a billboard that said, "Hey everybody, look at the shape of Caroline's big ass." Even my untanned skin showed through.
:chuckle
I ended up buying the smallest pair of men's pants available. Naturally those pants weren't see through at all. I do need one more pair & I want to shop on line (Buying white pants at a store at the end of August is nearly impossible).
Any rec's for pants so opaque that only Superman can see thru them.
Trying to be modest here. Thanks.

What is with white see through pants!!??
I mean really.. why do they even make them? Who wants to show off their whole underwear?
Most women now adays are trying to just hide the panty line, not to mention the whole thing!

I don't know what style you need but Jasco has a good sale going on right now and they can be found online.

Yeah, I agree that it's ridiculous to make nursing students wear white pants. Just not nice!:imbar
Maybe you could try some other store that isn't a uniform store at all and see what they have??
BTW what's a strumpet?

There's a catalog/website somewhere that has some "can't see thru me" whites. I THINK it's lifeuniform.com....but I'm not 100% sure. I'm betting there are other ones out there that have them as well though.

Hey Guys.... get to your nearest WMart .... White Stag and Bobbie Brooks have a line of REALLY NICE white pants which are PERFECT for uniform pants. I've been buying them for YEARS, and they're only like $12.00. They have a nice waistband, partially elastic in the back piece, nice pockets, and the front piece of the waistband is straight, and the front of the pants has a "faux fly" and 2-3 little tortoise shell buttons. Nice fit, too. But the best part is that they are a nice, thicker material, and NOT SEETHROUGH in the LEAST !!!! I LOVE them, and pick them up every chance I get. And at that price, you can afford to. :)
I did manage to find ONE pair of uniform pants I like by Landau.. and they are 65% polyester, 35% cotton. These are the only actual UNIFORM ones I've found that you can't see through.

its either life uniform or jasco that has the "can't see through me" white pants. I can't wait to go through this ordeal myself in a few weeks...

The best and cheapest opaque white pants can be found at Walmart- Bobby Brooks brand pants. They are the only pants I ever wear for work.

Psssssssst, Agent!!! Strumpet is an old term for floozy, 'ho', a loose woman, so to speak.
Thanks for the tips. Thanks Jnette & HellloNurse. Going to Walmart for the Bobby Brooks pants.
Agent asked about the definition of strumpet. Here are some of tasteful synonyms:
tart, trollop, hussy, chippie, floozy.
If you don't know the above words, look 'em up.
If only see transparent pants were my only problem. I'm a klutz. One time I sat on something that tore the back pocket off my pants. Didn't notice that my undies were showing through a big hole on my backside for over an hour. How could I not notice?
I'm going to have some great stories once clinicals start.
