I just finished my first semester of my rad tech program on Friday, I got a 4.0 for the semester which I am really excited about. I am also quitting my full-time job on Christmas Eve, which I am also really excited about.
But I am bored out of my mind! So far, I have watched to entire first season of Sex and the City, cleaned the house, fed the cat, twice, took a nap, gone on a job interview, and I am still bored! I was so bored that I even started next semester's homework! what is wrong with me? why can't I just relax and enjoy the time off? what am I going to be like next week when I am neither working nor going to school? God help me! anyone else bored already or am I just a freak?

Nope you are not a freak - I am a year 2 BScN and we jsut finished on Friday - I took this week off work so that I could hang out and relax - and I am jsut sitting here thinking to myself that I am kinda bored without the obnoxious deadlines and stress Go figure - not to mention it minus 50 million degrees outside So I am with you on this bored thing - maybe it's a tired/bored thing - lots to do - but no motivation to do it :)

My last day of classes was on 12-14. I have already printed out my syllabus for the next semester and started to read and outline chapters. I am sick too.
yea what's that all about? I printed out my course outlines last week but I said I would give myself 2 weeks off (we get a 4 week break) before I started worrying about school again and here I am, 1 day into my break and I am doing workbook assignments! I think I need to find a hobby, outside of the house...
Yes sadly, I started practicing med/surg stuff on CD-ROM *lol*
I could go do laundry, but it is just so cold outside, I don't feel like freezing on the way to the laundry room. maybe tomorrow I'll go to the mall, or the grocery, maybe I can sleep late for once!

I know how you feel. I have 5 weeks off, and I was really excited about my nice long break, until about 2 days into it. This is only the beginning of my second week off, and I am really bored already. I only work on the weekends, so I have 5 days a week of nothing. I start sleeping till 2 pm and staying up till 5 am, and when I do get up, I dont even want to get dressed. I feel like such a bum. I cant believe that Im ready to go back to school already.

I'm not a student but I'm glad for this holiday break from work.
My oldest son's best friend just stopped by with his girlfriend .. . well, now his fiance. He took her to a beautiful waterfall nearby and proposed. She said yes. We spent time reminising and now I want to go hike the trail to the waterfall. (This is my son's best friend getting married - not my son. I see that the grammar here is confusing as I've been getting congrats in my pm's) :chuckle
I live in such a beautiful area - lots of outdoor things to do. I really don't like being cooped up in the house. Especially with a 3 year old who needs some physical activity.
We have subway ice caves nearby that I haven't been in for awhile too.
Also, one of the nearby towns is all gussied up for Christmas and has lots of quaint shops and great eating places.
Or maybe I'll just go take a nap with the 3 year old instead. I'm in the middle of "The Liar's Club" and could read for awhile too.
Definitely turn off the computer though.

I am green with envy. :)
It is way too cold outside to go anywhere around here, anyways, so I guess it's just as well that I still have plenty of homework to do.

I wish I could be bored... well that's not true, being bored is no fun at all... I just wish my school hadn't scheduled a big med administration practical exam for day 2 of winter term (don't pass it, don't show up for day 3), and then there's the drug calc exam on day 1 and some chapters to read and homework to do that they assigned for the break... I did completely rebel on Saturday tho and went to the library and got something GOOD to read...

I thought I was the only one ready to fall over from boredom.....we only have two weeks off(which I should be thankful for) but I am SO ready to get back into classes and tons of homework...I dont know what to do with myself if I'm not working on nursing....that's awful....I think I have been on every website I go to like 8 million times, I dont know what else to do!!! I'm starting to wish we would have been assigned things to do over break!!
