before I started nursing school, I lost around 20 pounds when I started working in a pharmacy. 8 hour days on your feet running around with barely any time to eat works your body pretty hard. now that i'm in nursing school, sometimes I go to work right after school, so i'm still running around with barely any time to eat, and I've lost even more weight. I was never overweight to begin with! I recommend protein bars & drinking a lot of water... even though I prefer soda

This will be my ninth week of nursing school (an accelerated program), the first semester just finished, and I've lost a little over five pounds. I have always been an active person, but have been determined to fit in more workouts during the week than normal to relieve stress. I am not overweight, but wouldn't mind losing twenty pounds or so.

Lord, I would love to forget to eat! Well, maybe not because then I would probably be dead and that would suck very much bad....... Kudos to you all who have lost weight, I just don't want to have to have someone cut me out of my house so I can make it to graduation!

I tend to gain weight each semester. I'd lost 116 lbs before I started, and I'm currently up by about 10, so not TERRIBLE this semester, considering the holidays!
I tend to eat to stay awake while studying, so THAT is a major issue.
I do stay active, though, and that helps. I've found that reading while walking at an incline on the treadmill works REALLY well for me. Keeps me awake, the blood flowing, I remember stuff well, and I'm not EATING.

I have lost roughly 20lbs since starting nursing school. I was quickly reminded how I managed to stay so thin in high school and college the first go-round. Stress+anxiety+fear+GI issues=IBS overdrive. Test days are most exciting, there have been mornings I was sure I was going to be late to my exam no matter how early I got up to prepare.
