Your intervention is Microsoft OneNote. It is an organization freaks dream. It will also make your school life literally TWICE as easy as paper notes and printing powerpoints. Your studying will be more effective and faster. Your grades will go up and so will your freetime.

If it turns out to be too big, I guess I'll just have to go back to my index-cards on a ring, but I sure hope it works out as great as I've envisioned. (If not, it's another excuse to stop in at my local big box office supply store, LOL.)
Another option is ring-binders for index cards. They're available in 3x5 and 4x6 inch sizes. You can also get the divider tabs for alphabetization or blank tabs for other organization (like a lab values section, a NANDA section, etc.)
Much more sturdy than just notes-on-a-ring...

I MUST GET THAT NOTEBOOK!!!!! As you can see from all these posts, you are certainly not alone! If it was possible to swim in a pool filled with office supplies, I think I'd be the first one jumping in, lol. I can't wait to start getting supplies for Nursing school! September seems so far away.

Love the notebook! Does anyone else get giddy over buying a new planner? And staples is very close to my house. I think I subconsciously picked my house based off its proximity...

OMG I could cry. I am for some reason not subscribed to the responses to this thread and I had no idea the conversation was still going! This makes me a giddy girl!
During my last pregnancy, I had to go to Staples for some reason. After I left that day, I started craving the smell of Staples (the store, not actual staples) so I went back there a few days in a row to "browse". Those people must have thought I was nuts. I still love the smell of that place!
You'll totally be amused by this. My home screen when I logged onto AN from my computer just now:
They're onto me, man.
The notebook was in fact Accel. Sorry I didn't specify. I was doing some shopping on Staples' website yesterday and found their search function to be very unhelpful. It took awhile to find them. I prefer the 1-subject over the 5-subject because the 5-subject has only 200 pages and I can't imagine being limited to 40 pages to a class. The 1-subject has 100 pages. This is it right here: Staples® Accel® Spine Guard™ Notebook, 1 Subject, 8-1/2" x 11" | Staples®
You know what's even more alarming? Now I'm looking at the box on the right hand side of my screen and that Staples ad showing photos of 3 of the things I ordered from them-- washable large crayons, pink erasers, and glue sticks. Google is freaking me out. I need to stop using my google email accounts for interwebs stuff. :uhoh21:
So I ordered 4 more of those notebooks for fall semester. I do love me a great organizer, but I'm trying to convert to my calendar to my iphone. This coming semester will be the second semester I've done it. I'm not sure if I really enjoyed it last semester, though. I might go back to paper, especially with these notebooks having calendars in them. I may just use my phone calendar be for stuff that I need to actually go to, and have my notebooks' calendars be for my assignments. Anyone else straddling the electronic vs. paper calendar divide? I just can't decide which way to go.

When I did a Staples search for the notebook (I posted the name and link a few pages back) I also noticed that the top banner of AN had exactly what you posted as your. Big Brothe ris watching LOL
Now it's showing the insulated shipping box I bought (for $6 less than I paid for it yesterday grrr) and the scissors I bought. lol
