YEAH!!!!! I'm with you!!!!! I just finished 1 of 4 also. I got a B, but I"m happy with that and excited to go on. Isn't it a great feeling? This is the first time in my life where I feel like I'm actually accomplishing something. I'm over 30 and finally starting the career I always wanted to. Sometimes I think I'm nuts, but in the end, it will be worth it. Good luck with your next 3 terms!!

Congratulations to all of you. I just finished my 1st of 4 semesters, too! (Although we have a short summer semester also. ) I finished Nursing I with a 94 - just one point below the A+ I really wanted. I'm still waiting for my A & P II grade. :uhoh3:

I bought my books for Nursing II, and am resisting the urge to start reading. (It's just habit at this point!) Last night my husband commented how odd it was to see me on the couch watching teleision rather than studying. Now, I will start cleaning the house so we can decorate this weekend. I also need to get our Christmas cards in the mail by Monday. (Our card is the one people will get in the mail when they are getting ready for Christmas Eve Mass!)

Today the kids have a snow day from school. They are so used to me studying in the den that they have been keeping busy all morning. I'll have to remind them that mommy is free for the next three weeks!

YEAH!!!!!! What a good feeling it is. I actuallly feel like I accomplished something. I am so excited to be finished with the first semester. I have to clean my house, put up the tree (I know it's a little late, but I've been busy) start my Christmas shopping....etc.... I have an entire month to catch up on the little things that I've let go.
More importantly, I feel like I have come such a long way in the last sixteen weeks. I know that there is much more to come, but I feel good that now that the foundations have been set. :beer: :flowersfo :yeah:

I know the feeling, I also succesfully completed the first semester. ..with three more to go. It's funny because I too decided to thoroughly clean my house today....and put on a good CD and dance like a madwoman...I am trying not to pick up the Medsurg text books yet for next semester. However I do need some good med surg tips for next semester. eg. good accompanying books.

Congrats to all of us who made it passed first semester and wishing us all the best in Semester 2. :nurse: :beercuphe :Present2: :singing:

I just finished my 1st semester out of 4 too! Congrats to all! I am very proud to have made it through this first semester. I just found out that my GPA is 3.49, just missed the Dean's list.....need a 3.50! Just need to work harder next semester.

I love Nursing school. If your dedicated and determined to succeed, you will!

Allow me to join the club please. I too just finished my first semester out of four. I'm still floating. My final grade was a B, which was hard to swallow because I'm used to getting A's. I have read two trash novels since the end of the semester. I'm going to try and fit in a few more before I go back to school.

STRESS RELIEF. . .

The party after the semester is over. LOL. After first semester ended we had maybe 10 people at the end of semester blow-out. After this 2nd semester we were maybe lacking 2 people out of the entire class (31). I guess the stress really does build and everyone needs an excuse to blow off steam. . .

I just finished 3 of 4. I graduate in may with my bsn. Nursing school goes by really fast. I'm still shocked that I'm graduating soon! Soon you all will graduate too. I didn't have a hard time with med-surg, enjoyed maternity and hated peds. Management was alot of fun. I'm taking critical care, community, and ethics in the spring. From all the semesters I think 1st was the worst bc i wanted to get into pathophysiology (Med-Surg) but was more about theory and all the sort of stuff you learned about.
