Thank you for this wonderful post! I am in my second semester of NS and my clinical rotation right now is Labor & Delivery/nursery. I know it is not the NICU but I can't wait for my rotation there! I must say I love the nursery! I thought that seeing some of the sick ones might get to me a little (and I am sure it will) but it hasn't upset me too bad yet! I have this assignment due next week and I could really use your help! The first question is: What heritage/cultural group do you identify with? Either I am reading way too much into this or I just don't get it but I am unclear as to what this is asking. If this is referring to my heritage of where my ancestors are from then I have that answer but I don't think I "identify" with them, thats just where they are from. I guess I am asking you guys for some examples of different heritage/cultural groups so I can see what I am linked to. I really appreciate your help! I have looked on the internet and can't seem to get any good answers so I knew you guys were the ones to ask! :thankya: Tanya

This year was my second time to apply. Last year I got just a denial letter but this year I got the alternate letter. I made plans to attend the orientation that was required and just before orientation I received my acceptance letter! Hang in there if you do receive an alternate letter, you can't imagine how many people go to orientation and then decide that this is not for them or how many people get in elsewhere and choose to go to that school! I was a little bummed when I got the alternate letter but man was I happy when I got the acceptance letter! I just finished my first semester with 3 more to go! So hang in there and good luck!!!:)

Hang in there!! :) I applied 4 times and got in on the 4th try. I killed myself trying to take all the pre-reqs the first year just knowing I would get in-yeah right! I didn't and I was very upset, but I knew that I am meant to be a nurse and I just kept at it. I am now in my first year of the ADN program and only have 4 semesters to go! You can do it!!!
