How many of you are there? What's next for you? I've just registered for classes. We only have one set of clinicals in the first semester. It's adult care 1. Other than that we have assessment and fundamentals. I need to get my physical and get tested to see if I still have immunity from previous vaccines. If not, I get to be a pin cushion for a little while :) Other than that, I have to figure out how I'm going to pay for school now that I'm taking on twice the tuition bill transferring to a university. I'm applying to two hospitals to see if I can get in their scholarship and service programs. This is a super busy month!

I'm starting my program this fall as well! I don't like that orientation day is so far away and only a week before class starts though. I received my CPR for Healthy Care Providers certification. I've completed all of my titers and TB skin tests. Next I need to get this info to the school and wait until background check and drug screening day in July. I'm excited!!

I've been on this path for what seems like forever, so opening my acceptance letter gave me a taste of success. So while I'm excited and feel accomplished that I was accepted, I know that the hard part is still ahead and I'm ready!!!

Congratulations to everyone that was accepted!! We've worked hard to get here!

I got my package and info for orientation a few days ago! Went and tried on scrubs at the bookstore and got my name badges. They're fancy :) Our SNA does a fundraiser selling Littmann steths, so I picked out one and I'm super psyched to get it! I got the cardio 3 with the caribbean blue tubing and rainbow finish. I thought about getting the master cardiology but hubby suggested I wait on the expensive one because 1- I don't want to lose it and 2- it makes for a great graduation present idea.

My packet said I need to be available the first week of the semester from 9:00-4:00. I'm so bummed :( This is my kids' first week, too, and they have their own orientations that week as well. Hubs can go, but I hate missing out. I had to miss their k/prek graduation last week because I was in CNA testing. I keep reminding myself this will be worth it in the end but man the mom-guilt sucks :( I'm so thankful hubs can be there because I would literally burst into tears at the thought that neither of us would be there. This, too, shall pass.

I hear ya! I miss out on alot between work and school. I have dealt with terrible mom guilt. But it is a relief that my husband is there taking care of them and going to the school functions I have to miss out on. My husband is my biggest support, taking care of the kids so they at least have one of us involved all the time. Then when I'm done with school, hopefully I'll get a job with hours that I can still see my kids and go to their school functions often! :)

I'm 75% sure I'm going to miss my son's first day of Kindergarten--talk about guilt!! I have accompanied all my other children, taken pictures, etc. it just breaks my heart. Luckily my husband and probably parents will be there which makes it bearable, but I'm still very sad about it.

Me too! This will be the first one that I miss start kindergarten. I have been there for the other six. Well it is all up to my husband this year:)

I'M HERE! (Pinch myself...yep I really am)

I just got my acceptance letter today. I will start at Amarillo College August 2012! :w00t:

I feel GREAT! A lot going on right now in my life. I've been making it a lifestyle to take care of myself and making time to workout and NOW I've just been accepted to nursing school. This is great!

While in school, I'm going to keep a 36 hour work week so we shall see how that goes. I'm real anxious to know what all I need to do, buy, etc.. This site has been an incredible help to me as a nervous wreck.

I remember my first post about 2 months ago about having to look certain people in the face, who have known me as a CNA for a while, and having to tell them I got rejected, knowing they would be so happy to hear me fail, but now...I think I'll keep this information to myself and whoop it up with the people I love; thank God for them. I'm so excited to move on to the next chapter of my life. This is going to be a wild ride!

Luck? Honey, who needs luck? Blessings to each and everyone of you!! I can't wait to see what you guys post...I certain plan to post when I can.

I got my acceptance today too! This will bring major changes for my family. I have two little ones. One who will be 5 in December and one who will turn 2 one day after school starts! I am not use to being without them, and they will have to start daycare/preschool. We are also use to being able to eat lunch almost every day with my husband. It's going to be so different. I go to school at nights now so it'll be a change with that too. I'm not use to waking up early and getting everyone ready to go! I'm beyond nervous and scared because of all of the "horror" stories I've read on here! I had a panic attack today when I received my letter. Thats not what I excepted to happen! LOL

Wow! I thought I was the only one, I read my acceptance letter so many times that I have it memorized lol. Congratulations on your acceptance and I wish you the best of luck!

I am proud to announce that I have been accepted into CSUSB BSN program for fall 2012! I am too excited and can't wait start! Congrats everyone!

I've been accepted to CSU Stanislaus' BSN program this fall 2012 yay! I've finished my immunizations, physical, drug test etc. Now all I have to do is renew my CPR and purchase student health insurance. Bought my textbooks and reviewed med term and med math which my program wanted us to do. 1st semester I only have Intro into Nursing Research, Fundamentals plus lab and Health Assessment plus lab. I'm excited because my classes are only on Mondays and Wednesdays. So I'll be able to keep my CNA job on Fridays and Saturdays and still have Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays free to do extra studying and get other things done. Orientation is Aug 17, classes start Aug 22. I'm going to relax these last couple of weeks. Good luck to all of us starting nursing schools!!!!

I got accepted into two school's programs, I am proud to say! I am choosing the one that is closer to my home as I am not working and my husband is also going to school (the same school I chose) and we have four kids. Plus football season will be starting soon and we have 3 of our kids involved in that! Yay! Good thing I like to be busy! I am excited!!

I got accepted into my schools fall program too! I am soooooo ready for this!!! I am so out of my mind excited for this. My school required I get my CNA license, CPR recertification, immunizations, and orientation is next week. Then the mad dash to get signed up for classes, Im still working on the financial aid. And then the funnest thing is I get to quit my day job i have loved and been at for 11 years. LOL! It has been such a crazy couple months since I got accepted. So good luck to all who is starting this fall! Woo Hoo!
