ARC / SCC Fall 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Hello everyone. I wanted to start a discussion for people who have applied to ARC , SCC, or both for the fall 2017 class. Applications for both schools are due at the end of the month. I applied for both, praying I get excepted. Anyhow, say hello and stay in touch with updates, info. Etc....

Hello! This will be mine 3rd time applying to ARC- hoping 3rd times a charm! Best of luck to everyone!! :)

Hi, how many points do you have multicriterion? I was pretty bummed last semester at ARC I thought I had 70 points, but they only gave me 65, so I was not even considered. This time I have 70 points with ARC, and 74.5 with SCC. Fingers crossed! Best of luck!

I have 75 points with ARC- I'm not applying to SCC because I haven't taken one of the pe-req's (SOCI 321 or something).

Where did you take your Prereqs? I am still enrolled at CRC, taking classes toward BSN so It will be less classes to take if and when I bridge from RN to BSN. Been going there for 3 years! I need to get in!

I took my Bio's at Sierra and the rest in GA. I'm kind of limited on where I can go due to the fact that I live in Placerville and I can't just pick up my family and move. So I'm with you on the whole I need to get in!!! :)

Hello everybody, I just have a dumb question, but I am attempting to transfer my Teas score to Sac City and there are two options of where to send the scores. The first being the Sac City extended ADN program and the second Sac City PN program. To which do I send my scores to?

I would assume the ADN program...but I would call just to double check.

Hey All,

I applied to ARC for Fall 2017, I should have 75 points for the criteria points if they accept my Life Experience Documentation. I took Intro to Sociology before SCC changed their Pre-requisite requirement so I couldn't apply there. I'm applying at two other schools in the area too. Good luck to everyone!

So I have submitted to both ARC and SCC. I submitted my ARC packet on 2/10, I was number 68 at the time of drop off with 75 points. Also, on 2/21 I dropped my SCC packet and was number 45 with a total of 72 points. I was curious as with only a week left for the cutoff, the number of packets submitted to SCC was that low. I assumed the amount of applicants would be much higher because of only accepting students once a year for two semesters.

Hi, this is my second time applying to ARC and first time to SCC. Has anyone had their application marked qualified at ARC yet?

I dropped mine off on the 14th at SCC and signed in at 38 I think (I also had 72 points). If you signed in at 45, and there is only a week left (2 more days), then it may be a good chance for us. Cause I know that ARC had a lot less last semster too. So fingers crossed that SCC picks us :) I still applied to ARC again, but I'm only at 65 points so I know I won't even be put in the pool. They didn't count volunteering at Kaiser last semester, so that really screwed me over... sucks too because I got full points for grades, but was literally 2 questions away on my teas to get 78%.
