You know it's time to leave nursing when:

Your patients look much healthier than you.

You start celebrating holidays with the families of your frequent flyers.

Stool, vomit, phlegm, it's all the same.........

You've developed a permanent elastic waist mark on your belly.

I work with some nurses in their 60's and we were laughing about this the other night...it may be time to leave nursing when the new baby docs all resemble your grandchildren...and we're tempted to pinch their cheeks and exclaim about how precious they are. :chuckle

You mean that there actually are nurses still working in their 60s?! LOL!

You know its time to leave nursing when:

You start refering to Mrs. Thompson(the frequent flyer) as "my nanna"

You mistake your cool refreshing glass of apple juice for a urine sample

You are down to peeing once a day cause hey...that's all there is time for

You say good morning and goodnight to your husband and kids in the same sentence...uggghhhh

hmmm....wishing I was funnier....there must be more....hmmmmm....

Snoop':kiss

getting really tired of arrogant asshole surgeons. I went to a surgery center thinking it would be a repreive. I also helped start the place up, to no avail you still get no respect. We tried to have everything perfect for them, and it's if they say..."OFF WITH YOUR HEAD nothing is right" all they do is belly ache and complain like 2 year olds. I addressed the whole room and said..."You are not allowed to be in here unless you have already reared a 2 year old that had temper tantrums"

Everything got really quiet......

:chuckle I worked with a nurse who couldn't believe her eyes when the new residents came onto the unit-she used to babysit one when he was a toddler:roll
