I just got my scrubs for school and the pants have a D-ring on them. What do I use it for?

I would say clamps or scissors. Am loving some of the previous answers!

Hmm. None of MY scrub pant have D-rings! I guess they only come on men's scrubs, in which case they are probably supposed to hold a club or a spear or something macho like that.

Feeling vaguely inadequate now...

I use mine to hold my tazer.

After last night, I would have used it to hook in MY leg bag.

Love the chain idea, though. Seems appropriate for my last night as well.

It is to hold onto your butt when clinicals get rough!

Am I supposed to feel like an idiot for asking this question? I guess I messed up when I said that I bought them for school, then again an experienced nurse probably wouldn't ask such a question. Glad I was able to ask a question that could give you all something to laugh about...

The humorous answers implies to me that no one else really knows what it's for, either. It's not a reflection on you. Why you bought them doesn't matter, I'm an "experienced nurse" and I have no idea what it's for. Relax.
